Oh gosh that sounds so terrible Claudia. The poor dead whales being dumped in Moreton Bay island. What will happen to the environment there? This will certainly affect the water quality and all kinds of scavengers will inhabit the place. I just do not understand why the Environment Department is encouraging this dumping of the poor dead creatures. Hope the people in the land will make some hue and cry to see that such a thing is not encouraged. Thanks for sharing this article with us Claudia. Noted!

I hope this dumping is not the reason whales are dying in the area. Let's hope the towns enviromental team gets onto this and brings it to an immediate end. Noted. Thanks, Claudia.

They are not concerned about the water quality there??? Good night!! Why are some people so thick? Why are the thick ones in charge? It is just unbelieveable to me that so many just don't care.
Thanks Claudia

And they are wondering why animals are dying? I think the practice needs to stop and someone better start testing the waters and finding out exactly what is going on. Egads.

This is truly dispicable... this is totally unacceptable.. someone needs to take authority for this blunder and they need to clean up their dirty laundry.. you cannot dump this into someone else's laundry basket

they need to be towed out to sea and then they could be sunk to the bottom so that they can go back to where they come from, kinda of a decant burial for them. I wish they would tell why they died , but it is probably some kinda of bureau secret. I do not believe we ever get all the truth about stuff from the environment people even if they are in Australia.

What in the whale is going on.........
I'm not trying to be funny, as this is a very serious situation, but the pun is to point out why environmental groups haven't caught on or up to this.
Instead of just dumping dead bodies, why aren't investigations and studies not underway in trying to determine the problem whether manmade or natural?

Trying to hide your sins and wrongs are childish. It is far more responsible to be open minded and open hearted about this problem and discuss with other parties about what best to do for win win solution.

I truly hope this is not going to be an example for other wildlife un-enthusiast.

Why are the whales and turtles dying?

Water quality is declining in a lot of places.

Wow I can't imagine stumbling upon a dead whale while crabbing in a mangrove. Seems to me that something suspicious is going on or there wouldn't be such secrecy about the fact that whales were being moved to this island in the first place. This is definitely something that should be investigated so that whale lives can be saved and prevented from ending up in this makeshift grave site.

Claudia, how utterly disgusting!

The human race has so much to atone for when it comes to it's treatment on animals, Marine and non.

I wish I were an animal, that way I would get to bite back!

But I'm doing that in my on way along with may others who feel the same.

Thanks again Claudia!
