There is a small group of dog rescuers who know where San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) overflow facility is on Brooks City Base. It is a set of kennels that is supposed to be for saving dogs when all the kennels are filled at the main facility; but

this is a terrible state of affairs for the innocent shelter-pets to be in.. is such a place legal at all? how can the public be deprived of viewing shelter-pets and possibly adopting them? if this place is run using the tax-payer's money they are answerable to the public for such goings-on..
should a petition be done? would that help? looks like local public should get more info and may-be picket the place or start some form of protest..

Dreadful place. Why is it allowed to keep on operating---killing so many without even a chance at life and love. Disgusting. Thanks

These people can not call themselves humans, because to be a human you must be humane!

Hi Ginger my old friend. Long time no see in the Horse group. Well, San Antonio has money to revitalize that crappy San Antonio Riverfront. I knew it way back when it was a piss-pot. But they don't have money to help the strays. They suck..And the Alamo is a waste of money too.

Like most do-good ventures, in the beginning probably started out with a compassionate heart but was quickly overtaken by lack of funds, dedicated stewards of care, lax attention to detail, and overflow of "product".

Why is it that all good intentions quickly turn to evil outcomes? Too much to keep on top of from beginning through present ... always being added to?

I believe that if individual responsibility kicked in at the beginning of things going wrong, undesirable consequences could be greatly diminished rather than escalated ... think, in some way, we likely all own part of the continuing tragedy through lack of awareness, involvement once aware, unconcern, enforcement of a process, (printed values falsely stated), etc.

Should be revisited and adjusted as needed, then subject to unannounced review on a regular basis.

We could be doing more to correct. No time to think or do good in this fast-paced secular world -- it's me first, end of story. Public outcry, unless strengthened by a dedicated leader into the social media family, will die on the vine. Strength and energy in numbers is lacking and this will continue.
