Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo- Saltwater Crocodile

The Saltwater Crocodile is usually found in deep, dark murky water. It may inhabit fresh or saltwater but is most commonly found in the brackish estuary areas of Northern Australia. Pic: Steve's son carries on tradition.

Steve Irwin was one in a million. I am so glad that his son is carrying on in his amazing fathers footsteps. Thanks for sharing Thubten.

When I was stationed in Australia, there were lots of stories on the news(public radio) abuot tourist who were "taken" by saltwater crocs. None of these occurances were in deep, brackish water. In fact they were commonly known swimming spots. One was "taken" in knee deep water. These were saltwater crocs.

Steve's son is so cute, I'm glad he's able to take over the job. I also adopted a giraffe of theirs named "Penny".
