ATLANTA -- Federal regulators ordered an in-depth inspection Tuesday at a nuclear power plant run by the Tennessee Valley Authority in northern Alabama after deciding the failure of an emergency cooling system there could have been a serious safety problem

This leads to near-disasters such as the Ohio plant that just happened to discover a football-size hole in a containment vessel.

Hard to believe the NRC did anything right. They just licensed and antiquated plant in Vermont that is a proven rediation leaker. Four eyed catfish have been caught from the river in front of the plant.
