Please don't let the fact that Ron Paul is a Republican fool you, he is more of a Constitionalist/Libertarian and/or a True Republican, and has nothing to do with the false, so-called "Republicans" known as the Neo-(Lib-Nazi)-CONS or "neoconservatives"! Please use the following site to send your letters to all of your "Representatives" in support of this "Repeal the Military Commissions Act" legislation with one very simple action [and add some of your own words about the subject in the process if you want to (preferable)] (!):

New Bill to Repeal Military Commissions Act in House

Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) recently introduced a bill that would restore the Constitution’s system of checks and balances, as envisioned by our Founding Fathers. Titled the American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 (H.R. 3835), the bill would restore habeas corpus by repealing the Military Commissions Act of 2006.

The following is an excerpt from the American Freedom Agenda Act:

(a) The Military Commissions Act of 2006 is hereby repealed.

(b) The President is authorized to establish military commissions for the trial of war crimes only in places of active hostilities against the United States where an immediate trial is necessary to preserve fresh evidence or to prevent local anarchy.

(c) The President is prohibited from detaining any individual indefinitely as an unlawful enemy combatant absent proof by substantial evidence that the individual has directly engaged in active hostilities against the United States, provided that no United States citizen shall be detained as an unlawful enemy combatant.

(d) Any individual detained as an enemy combatant by the United States shall be entitled to petition for a writ of habeas corpus under section 2241 of title 28, United States Code.

The American Freedom Agenda Act of 2007 has been referred to the Committee on the Judiciary as well as the Committees on Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Intelligence.

I was just listening again to Dr. King's final speech at the Mason Temple in 1968, the speech after which he was brutally murdered by the racist, satanic military-industrial complex for doing nothing but standing up non-violently for peace and justice, the one in which he quoted his favorite hymn, "....I have seen the promised land....", and he added, "....I may not get there with you...." I can't get the tears out of my eyes. This was the speech that not long after it he was slain (though he and what he stood for was NOT taken from us), as all great men and women who have stood for peace and justice have been, crucified in one way or another. But we can greatly thank the MUCH Greater God for such human beings, for the legacy that they left to us, and the reminder(s) that they bestowed upon us of our great duty to also stand for peace and justice.

This article only needs two more Note Its to get to the front page to bring this action alert to the attention of more C2/C2NN members and make it more likely that more people will take the action for peace and justice that it contains; therefore, PLEASE add your Note Its to the 28 that have already been made, and do just that. This is truly NOT for my self-aggrandizement. Look at the fact(s) that I have submitted over 1,000 articles and/or videos and have only gotten 24 submissions to the front page. Clearly that proves I am not about self-aggrandizement, and that I truly want to get the instant submission to the front page for nothing but the purpose of getting more of my fellow- C2/C2NN members to take the much more than worthwhile action contained therein, an action for peace and justice. Once more, please help bring that about.

Thank you again.
