Have you ever wondered what's wrong with wearing wool (besides the fact that it's as itchy as hell)? Well, wonder no more. Here's everything that you need to know about where wool comes from and how it's made with 100 percent cruelty.

Nasty industry---I've stopping buying wool 3 years ago...besides it being a cruel industry wool is just not a nice soft fabric anyway and it is really itchy as hell. Thanks

Genoveva dear, in my haste to do this before my darned connection crashed again, I only rushed into the site because I thought there was a petition to sign. I wonder if it was possible to warn us before getting into the site that there is such graphic matter so that we could choose not to let it come up on the screen. When you have to see animal cruelty every day of your life, it is very important not to get any more images of cruelty in to your brain than you really have to. So many of my friends refuse to get onto Care 2 as they can't bear to see the graphic content of some of the articles! I am afraid that we are losing people that might help us. It is too easy to become depressed and angry to the extent that you give up.. Not me, I don't mean!!! Just a thought as I know that more people would sign petitions and help us if we could only weed out the photos!!!!!!

It´s always bad to do something "industrial". Australia and New Zealand overstocking the market makes it gainless for shepherds with less and better kept sheep all over the world to do what they have done for thousands of years. So it would be better to demand human ways of sheep keeping, because doing without wool wouldn´t save a single lamb but to lead to their extinction.

An excellent article. Thank you for posting.

Wool, like leather, is not a 'harmless by-product'...

There's only one place I like wool - on a sheep!

Good Lord, I had to stop reading the news Genoveva, but all people need to know what goes on. While I did kinda know it, did not really get the entire brain photo, the article pushed it up and I can't swallow. I have never purchased WOOL since 1989 nor will I ever do it....now I am older and am used to all of these products, but I see the horrific destruction that is done to creatures and//or the food industry. There is NO HOPE FOR THE YOUTH!
