No offense to anyone, but 99% of the time, the police are not going to accuse...unless they have a reason to...I am sorry to see this terrible twist...I hope for everyone's sake the police are wrong..

I wonder how many people are secretly happy this happened because they are angry at the parents for leaving their kids unattended? Being 'right next door isn't good enough. They never should have taken the chance. It may sound mean, but it is still true, nevertheless.

Curious turn in events. Think Portugal is wanting the news to go away?

Could she actually be stupid enough to kill her child and then discuss it in a diary or perhaps an email? But smart enough to successfully hide the body for 5 and 1/2 weeks and then carry it to another successful hiding place in the trunk of a rental car? Yet foolish enough to leave evidence in the car? And she a Doctor no less.

Well if we believe that, then perhaps the idea that the Portuguese Police may have botched the investigation will simply fade away.

This sounds so familir. Child gets abucted. Case goes cold. Hey, lets blame the parents since we can find her, the kidnapper or a body. Remember JonBenet? After all these years they dropped the charges bc they couldn't link the parents to their daughters death. There were clues that said there was an attempted kidnapping but no leads. Its very sad. They said they found some blood. What happened to the sightings?

When are we going to wake up to all this fearmongering and stop reacting like pavlov's dogs and start thinking for ourselves. If the parents left the child on her own then they were in the know for some reason we will never learn as the truth never makes the tabloids.

Does Portugal just want to see an end to this story? Are they railroading and putting the blame on the McCanns? To find the 'blood' of Maddy in a vehicle that was rented 35 days AFTER Maddy went missing? Was blood planted there, Was this Maddy's blood but maybe from a scrape or other act children who are learning to walk frequently get - - - such as when Maddy was climbing the steps onto the airline that has been shown so many times? And Portugal who has never had a case such as this, as well as not the best detectives in the world, to find the 'truth' by blaming the McCanns?, And for the McCanns to PLAY the role of distraught parents in search of their child for FIVE months, taking time away from work when knowing full well their daughter was dead? Does that sound logical for anyone to do?, getting the Pope involved, all media in the world and John Walsh as well as Elizabeth Smart's father involved? Or were they trying to make IT LOOK believable all this time?
