Very interesting...I have heard of dogs being used to find desert tortoises (an endangered species) in the same way. They certainly have acute sensenses that make them good "finders"...

Wowo smart dogs but then again this does not suprise me. Dogs are amazing they are a true compaion, they love, and will stand by graurd, protect, what ever it takes for you they will do it. And all they ask for in return is love food and effection and a place to lay his or her head. Thanks Jonathon D C.

Now if only we could get this broadcast in China, they might relent and not pass the law declaring dogs to be 'domestic animals' (meat source). or even better, join the rest of the world in admiring and using the incredible abilities of dogs....like after the terrible earthquake, for instance, to find people....

Great idea, Madeleine! The list of countries to broadcast along with China should include Korea, Japan, Romania, Greece and among the abilities of dogs - to include therapy with the physically/mentally challenged whether children or elderly people.

What an awesome idea and the dogs (especially Rogue) are wonderful!! What happens once they locate an endangered plant species? Will they preserve it somehow?
