Jew Bashing - Very Disturbing

Society & Culture  (tags: ethics, society, bigotry, racism )

- 1800 days ago -
I thought things like this only happened when I was young. I didn't know that there are anti-Jew/Zionist mobs everywhere, who think the Jews should be exterminated.

Thank you, Peter. It seems that there are video series devoted entirely to bashing the Jewish people. I shudder to think where this might lead if people take up the cause and hate Jewish people just because they're Jewish. I had my fill of anti-semitism when I was a little girl. How do you think I felt when I was eight years old, being told by other eight year olds that I was a "dirty Jew"? Where do you think they learned this? On their parents' knee, of course. It's so senseless! I'm proud of being Jewish and ashamed of the people who try to denigrate us!!

The Tribe seems to beset with enemies on all sides, Muslims on the left, Aryans on the right, Charismatic Catholics (Mel Gibson and the PPIX crowd) and lets not forget the loony right wing Christians who think the only reason they're protecting Israel so that the Jews can die first in Armageddon.I know it's nothing unusual but you'd think in the 21st century we'd have everybody out of that ignorant mindset.

"They, they, they". Big stinking generalities. Doesn't matter if it's a religion, a race, a color, a country, little impotent individuals need something or somebody to BLAME for their personal failures and difficulties in life. Insert whatever you wish in the blank "The _____ are the reason things are bad". and "I'm alright, I'm good, I'm fine, but THEY'RE not". Give me a break.
Btw, I'm glad I'm Mad in a Jad has just lost in Iran. One less nutcase to deal with.

Anyone who blames the Jews for the death of Jesus obviously didn't understand Jesus. It was YOU, and YOUR sins, at least that was his message.

You are right Kenneth L.

Two of the most successful religions by virtue of their numbers, Islam and Christianity, apparently need someone to be against. There has to be an "other" on which to blame everything. For Christianity, it has typically been the Jews for most of its history. One question of course is the "deicide" issue, and there are many more. Islam has two "others": Jews and Christians.

Just recently I was introduced to an Italian young man who I was told was Catholic. He was my granddaughter's boss at the time and she introduced me as her grandmother. I stuck my hand out to shake his hand. He looked at my hand, then at me and "I don"t shake hands with murderers". It was supposed to be a joke on his part and since I knew what he was referring to, I said "We didn't kill him, the Romans did". He said, "Yeah, sure!" Don't these people realize that Jesus was born and brought up Jewish? This is the kind of mindset that so many people have but in reality the Romans were the ones who tied him to the cross.

Kenneth thank you for sharing because clearly anti-sematism, Jew bashing/hatred is alive and well which sickens me as it does most / all of you.
My Jewish heritage is something that i've always honored. As a third generation Canadian i was 'removed' from the horrors of Nazism during WWII. My husband's mother's family were all sent to concentration camps where they suffered and died. His father's family taken as well, herded into cattle cars and dumped at concentration camps. Several survivors that I knew as a young girl who survived those horrific nightmeres of torture and suffering in the 'death camps' showed me their arms with numbers branded into their skin. They shared their experiences whenever they were asked, never without 'survivor's guilt' as they recalled their family members who never made it out alive.
I was in 6th grade when I was transferred to a public school. There was a group of boys who chased us home frequently, say 5 out of 7 days of the week, calling my twin sister and I "dirty Jews" .
My mother took care of that situation and until the day she died, told us to be proud of being Jewish, to be strong women who cared about others not only in our community but for everyone. I'll never forget her or her words of wisdom. . . . . . . .

I read the comments before watching the video, therefore I did not. I am so sorry for those of you who have suffered anti-semitism. I may not agree with a certain religion or political choice, but to bash one's choice is not something I would ever do. A question that has always puzzled me~~ Is Judaism a nationality or a religion? I say both. You are born Jewish but can adopt the Jewish faith. I have many Jewish friends and have posed that question. Answer was religion. Why would someone deny their heritage? It is something to be proud of. Maybe someone can answer my question.

I am always amazed that there is so much vitriol and hatred in the world. As if our lives don't contain enough sadness and adversity we have to have people spewing this kind of spirit destroying nonsense and have people believe it too. I believe that these people are helpless and hopeless and therefore need a scapegoat to blame for their own inadequacies. Instead of turning all this energy outward into hate I wish they would spend even half as much time trying to be useful, valuable additions to our human race. Religion can be a beautiful thing but too often it is turned into reasons for hatred. Do these people who hate Jews not understand that Jesus, who they profess to love , was Jewish ?

IMPOSSIBLE to listen to this garbage all the way through the video. Alice Walker really surprised me...Farrakhan, of course, did not.

There's a deeply pervasive stupidity, ignorance and resentment running through the minds of these people. I'm convinced it rules the Muslim mind-set and apparently, there are still some worms in OUR woodpile, too.

Although I am no longer religious I haven't forgotten a lot of the good things about religion even though I don't believe in the Biblical concept of "god" perse. There are still many good teachings for practical living to be found in the Bible and other religious texts and which I feel are relevant to the above topic. Oh Mr. and Mrs. Christian and Mr. and Mrs. Muslim before you cast the first stone, are you without sin and how about taking the beam out of your own eye first? Please read on....

In Romans 2:28-29 Paul wrote, “A man is not a Jew [or a Christian or a Muslim or whatever] if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew [Ibid] if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise is not from men, but from God [the spiritual reality of higher existence for those of you who don't believe in "god"]"

In other words all your customs are as a striving after wind if you do not do things compelled by the spirit which compels you to do something because it is the good thing, the proper and right thing to do. Did not Y'shua tell us that god desired mercy and not a sacrifice?
If you save one soul then you help to save the world is the old Jewish teaching and one I try to live by and fail so miserably at.
It doesn't matter who you are or what race you're born into it only matters that you do unto others as you would have them do unto you and to love your neighbor as yourself. That was what Y'shua said were the two greatest commandments and it's a fairly tall order to fill most days. Were we to spend as much time trying to follow those two teachings as we spend lusting after the illusionary material wealth and possessions we would find ourselves healthier and our world a far different place but not perfect. That's utopia. That too is samadhi.

There are things I disagree with Paul on but there is a lot I agree with him on and one of those things is found in Romans 2:14 .

"Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law".

Proper behavior sets up a proper resonance that is conducive to a positive behavioral matrix and inducive to the higher self in measures of growth. The old adage we reap what we sow is so applicable here.

In conclusion yes there are many rich Jews but there are just as many rich Gentiles who have banded together in order to form and benefit from the New World Order. They claim to be the elect but are so in name only and for the better part are nothing but zombies without a soul. By their actions you shall know them. How else do you justify planned genocide that is executed in ever facet of our daily lives from the water we drink to the air we breathe; to the diseases caused by food additives; vaccines; medicines and everything else in our modern societies that results in terracide. Terracide and genocide are all part of the same plan.

I am not willing to judge an entire race due to the actions of the minority. People like the Aryan Nations and Louis Farrakhan and Jews like Rockefeller and Kissinger are soulless shells who profess to be this or that. They are merely the modern version of Amschell Rothschild's Illuminati who funded and played both sides against the middle as did the Elites in every conflict since the American Revolution onward. The devil indeed does wear many disguises. By their actions you shall truly know them. To all of you regardless of your origins; your culture or your religion; take care that you don't forfeit your being by becoming entrapped in the hateful and destructive web created by those who even though they claim to be this or that but care only for themselves. They think they are gods and that everything on and in this planet is there to serve them and when used up can be discarded and replaced with another disposable asset. Your hatred for one another due to racism or religion or culture is a sure fire way to serve the dark masters.

My apologies for sermonizing.

Dershowitz had an opportunity and he blew it. NO Jew is in charge of ANY banking industry in this country- not since the Rothchild's of Europe 150 years ago. Do you want an investment banker, a tax consultant, yes, there are plenty of Jewish people who are employed to help you. In control of Wall Street? I refer you back to the banks.
Dersowitz only brought up the bigotry, not the reality. For Godd's sake, a man actually talked about Jews having pogroms on certain days of the week! This country is riddled with the most ignorant, down right stupid people on the planet- not that they are any more stupid than those all around the world who share these beliefs.

Revival of the 1930s?

There's a crisis going on, and someone is to blame (it can't be OUR fault, remember?). Not sure this leads to something positive....

History sometimes repeats itself, and, more certain, mankind hardly ever learns of it's mistakes.

This doesn,t surprise me at all. I have lived small towns in south west British Columbia for over 30 years. I have heard lots of people complain and be nasty about Jewis. Guess what? They have never known anyone who was jewish! I always ask them the question: " so do you really know any jewish people?" The answer is usually no but they run the world, they own everything. They could never give me an answer based on facts. I grew up in Montreal Quebec I went to a school that had a high enrollment of Jewish kids .My mother and father had friends from all religions and all ethnic groups. It was wonderful to learn about what made us different and what made us similar. At school I had lots of Jewish friends. We liked learning, books, good conversations. I went to their houses and they came to mine. I did sleep overs and parties. I had gentile friends too and they did similar things with me. My gentile friends rarely hung out with the jewish students. I was "blacklisted" from joking a club that was called High Y. I had Jewish friends I was told and couldn't join.
So I learned about prejudice. It was a shock to me then. and it still is now. The jews killed Jesus I was told. Well Jesus was jewish. I have noted that these are intolerant times. We have people who hate the homeless and those who hate muslims and the list goes on and on. I find that the haters are screwed up fearful people
who have souls and minds that are shut down. Look around and you can find good human beings and they are busy leading happy lives. They try to live and do no harm. They don,t make the news because goodness is not news worthy these days.

Well, we'll never buy another Alice Walker book again. What a racist bigot she is!

There isn't any outcry over this crap. If they were talking about Muslims Obama and the media would have skewered them. We are very critical of Islam and all of its hate preaching, especially about Jews and gays and the demeaning of women, but that isn't the same as speaking such hatred against people. This anti-Semitism is very much about hating Jewish people and nothing to do with the theology or ideology of Judaism (which has reformed greatly and is now one of the most progressive and tolerant religions in the world, in general).

The Jew bashing and hatred is reaching levels in parts of Europe again just like the 1930s, only this time it is from Muslims and with the current PC atmosphere of fear of offending Islam, no one dares speak against it.

Malmo, Sweden is a good example where Jews were given refuge from the Nazis and have lived there in peace for decades, but now most have had to flee the violence and intolerance against them now coming from the 25% Muslim population and a Leftist pro-Muslim mayor who blames the Jews for the hatred the Muslims are attacking them with!

Where is the outrage? Nowhere.

(BTW Christians are being ethnically cleansed in every Muslim occupied land right now by the tens of thousands, but where is Obama, the media, social and religious leaders rising up to condemn this? Nowhere. Apparently Jews and Christians don't matter, but let some dimwit threaten to burn a Qur'an and they all become hysterical with outrage. What a screwed up world!)

Anti-semitism will never stop. It will forever continue and get worse. If you were an anti-semite and one day you needed your life to be saved and the only other person around was a Jew, what would you do? We are all the same in God's eyes and He loves us all the same.

The music group Marillion said it best in their song 'White Russian'. Yet another critical fault indicator has lit. Antisemitism is a fatal disease of nations. We should haul finks like Farrakhan and other Jew-hating !!%^&# to Nuremberg and try them the same way the German war criminals were tried.

Are you an ostrich? Have you buried your head in the sand? There are so many people who want to get rid of the Jews that it is impossible to start the list. The Nazi heritage is alive and very popular among many who feel that we have no right to anything and this feeling is present everywhere including many countries that the US gives money to, so they will do the right thing. Unfortunately, until God demands it and provides reprocussions for those who don't agree, there is nothing we can do about it. For each one that is gone there are 2 more to that it's place.

According to my experiences: Anti Semetism is bad, but don't give me "we're all the same", because there always will be a someone who says "I'm not the same, because I'm Jewish", and some of them claim to be treated
differently as being Jewish. Some of them mustn't be surprised if "Anti-Jewish" raises generally.

I find any type of racial/religious/sexual orientation profiling very disturbing and wrong worse it is scary as it so easily can create a society where good people can be afraid to speak out for fear of reprisal even when they know prejudice and hatred are wrong.

Lynn Geth (185)
Sunday June 16, 2013, 7:06 pm
Yes Joanne, that is the same Alice Walker. Hypocritical of her to have her book made into a movie by Steven Spielberg, a very Jewish man who helped to make her name famous. Then she goes and bashes all Jews!

Instead of thinking of Jews who did bad things (and who hasn't?), how about the Jews who have contributed to saving our lives or have made our lives better due their immense knowledge? People like Jonas Salk, Albert Einstein, Albert Schweitzer, Paul Ehrlich for chemotherapy and countless others. Or the Jews who have given us movies that made us laugh or caused emotions that brought tears: Steven Spielberg, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Goldwin and Mayer of MGM. Comediens like Milton Berle, George Burns, Gene Wilder, Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld, Harvey Korman, Louis Black and so many more that I can't remember them all. Do we not laugh at them or go their movies because they're Jewish?

@ Monka Blanke
You say that according to your experience "Anti Semetism is bad, but don't give me "we're all the same", because there always will be a someone who says "I'm not the same, because I'm Jewish", and some of them claim to be treated differently as being Jewish"

Can you please tell you who these "someones" are that you're talking about? Are you saying that it's only Jewish people who think they're better than others? I guarantee you that there are some people in every walk of life, every race, every religion, every ethnic group, who claim to be "different" and beyond reproach.

janet f (29)
Sunday June 16, 2013, 7:33 pm
These people are pathetic. They blame all their short comings and failures in life on the Jews. How about they accept their own inability to be successful in life? Bunch of racist losers.

And, yes, Joanna Dixon, it's the very same Alice Walker. She clearly had no compunction using a very talented Jewish director to bring her book to the screen.I guess there were absolutely no other directors of any other ethnicity that could make a great movie of a mediocre book,

Which just goes to show you, they'll go to Jews for help in business or medicine because they think they're the best. Then they'll turn around and talk them into the ground.

My uncle and aunt are Jewish and even though they live in Australia, they sometimes have a nasty comment aimed at them by some ignorant creep. One guy where my uncle works was always coming out with snide remarks until my uncle made an official complaint to HR and the creep was transferred although I think he should have been sacked. Right on Lynn, the list goes on and on. Of course you know they were/are all out to control and subjugate everyone lol.
My maternal grandparents (not Jewish) had many Jewish friends in Canada and the U.S. My grandfather ran a plumbing business and store. Various other stores such as a few clothing stores, tailor shops, furniture stores were run by Jewish people. Big, threatening, controlling, oppressive enterprises! No, just regular people trying to put food on their family's table and survive.

The way Obama is transforming this Democratic Republic into a socialist-then-communist society, I suspect that the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, the Muslims of America, and other Muslim organizations are in control, not the Jews or Israel or any Jewish sect.

Unfortunately, all this advanced technology has dimmed the intelligence of our human race. It is very easy nowadays to slander the Jews, especially since globally we—many nations—are close to economically collapsing.

REMEMBER, this same type of propaganda stuff occurred with increased degrees just before WWII. God always promised to reward the obedient with wealth, health, and happiness. In truth, the rest of humanity hates the Jewish population for being more obedient than most cultures or races. Before WWII, the Jew population, as a whole, was wealthier, healthier, and happier, and the Germans resented that fact!!!.

This propaganda bullshit reminds me of Hitler. Remember, was it not Hitler who said to make the lie BIG, repeat it OFTEN, and THEY WILL BELIEVE!!! Do you recognize what is going on!!!

Let us be very honest! When America economically collapses, we honestly cannot blame the Jewish population inside or outside of the United States!!!

The U.S. president is like a small boy blowing a balloon!

Instead of blowing in our normal atmospheric gases, he is blowing in the increasing entitlements of those who are entitled and those who are not entitled (with the new immigration bill, more of the not-so-entitled will being collecting entitlements), the increasing and unnecessary national overspending (for example; the IRS), and the exponentially increasing national deficit!

Remember, he is blowing! Many of us are telling him not to; however, he keeps blowing and blowing and blowing!!! Then, POP!!! And, finally, he says, “Oops! I did not mean to pop it. I only wanted to see how much air the balloon could hold. I honestly meant to stop blowing before it burst!!!

At Columbia University, there was a political science course taught that explained how to collapse—destroy—a capitalistic society. Most of Obama’s classmates do not remember him attending his classes; however, he apparently attended this course or read its syllabus, because the basic outline for this course is what he is following!!!

We have a mentally unstable or deranged president controlling our nation. We need to sober up and face the truth of what he is doing! Maybe he has dreams of becoming another Francisco Franco (Spain) or a Benito Mussolini (Italy), because he is working hard at bringing this nation to its knees so that he can step in and become another one of them.

This is not a Democratic or Republican issue. We need to being dealing with the preservation of our freedoms in the United States, as well as preserving the very reasonable and sound U.S. Constitution and The Bill of Rights!

If we do not, then, we are handing our nation over to this president and/or to his cronies!

@ Lynn: The people I've witnessed on the street were Chassidic Jews (they're all dressed up the same, to be distinguished by others, and those who were racist against Arab minorities - obviously they didn't notice me when I passed by, but I noticed them, and the Arab chap (the scapegoat).
My point is: they're no better than others !

@ Monka: You're absolutely one person is better than the next person. What you saw or heard is an isolated incident which I still don't fully understand but no one should have a "holier than thou" attitude. Believe me, I've seen people of all faiths, races and creeds who think they're better than others. It's not limited to Jews and to condemn the Jewish people for one thing that you overheard is bigotry in its own right.

@ Inge: "Why jew, christian, muslim or any religon at all, why not try to make this world and this life to a paradise."
I wish that could be true Inge, but with so much hatred in this world, I doublt that will ever happen. It's a nice thought, though. We're all brought into this world the same, naked little babies who are dependent on their parents to teach them the right and wrong of things. If these parents all over the world were to teach their children tolerance and teach them that every person is equal to another person, then maybe we could have something near Paradise. We can only hope.

I will never understand any of this and Thank God that I lived on an island in the Bronx, separated from all this bigotry. The NYC Skyline on one side and Hart Island and the Long Island Sound on the other. First of all Hart Island is NYC's Potters Field. It was once a Prison for short timers. Then it became a Half-Way House for drug addicts. No matter what it was, you would always see that bus load of of men doing time come out to dig the graves and police the Island to keep it clean. It was there Day in the Sun! Back to my home town until six years ago, when we had to sell and now see it from across the Bay. It was only 1 1/2 miles long and a 1/2 mile wide at its widest point, that was only one street, Fordham Street, which at the West end was the ferry to Hart Island. There was one parochial school and one public and bought went up to the eight grade. Besides what most of people think, we were not drilled with religion, or, brainwashed. Religion was just one more subject along with Math, Geography, History, English, Art, Music and most of all penmanship! I always thought that doctors had their own form of writing, but it was our public school system that allowed them to learn the Art of Chicken Scratch. People want to blame the Jews for where they are today! Blame your parents and our schools that told us that we can be anything we want. You can be the President if you want! "So what do you want to be? A policeman? fireman? No one ever mentioned working for the Sanitation Department, that ended up having the best benefits of all the city jobs. For the girls, their option was to become a secretary, or, if you were smart enough a Nurse! Meanwhile, in Jewish families, they told their children that you are going to be a Doctor, Lawyer, etc. They wanted the best for their children. So don't be putting them down for getting to where they are today. I am sure, that none of their parents were trying to raise a comedian. Back to my tiny Island, the melting pot of the Bronx, as far as religion goes. We had St. Mary's Star of the Sea, a Roman Catholic Church, a Methodist Church, that now has a female Reverend, a Episcopalian Church, the oldest on the Island and of course a Jewish Synagogue, Temple. There was no Religious bigotry there. City Island had a great number of Irish in the community and if any racism there. it was me, an Italian dating their Irish daughters, but, all of their mothers loved me. I was very polite and always acted like a gentleman. Being polite and all I got that from my parents. The art of being a real gentleman, I owe that to all the great TV shows of my time. Never was I taught to hate the Jews for the Crucifixion of the Jesus. Yes, the Romans put him to death, but it was the High Priests of the Temple, that wanted him put to death. He was a Jew and it was at the Passover Supper, that he told his disciples that he has to go and he told them that they cannot go where He was going, but asked them to do this in memory of me. He took the cup of wine and gave the Blessing and told them to drink of it, for this is my blood that will be spilled for you. I just can imagine what they must have been thinking after all the miracles they seem him do and then he took the bread, gave the Blessing and past it to his disciples, and said to eat of it, for this is my Body which will be given up for you. He gave His Life to pay for the sins of all mankind! So that we all may seek the Kingdom of God and all He ever preached was Love. To Love as he has Love. The New covenant between God and Man. He called us Brothers and taught us to call God, "Our Father!" If we were to Love as He Loved, we would have "Paradise" here on Earth. If we Loved as He Loved, there would not be this hatred towards a people. You would not harm your brother, or sister, but, would want only the best for them. They would not want! Nor would you steal from them because whatever they they would want to share with you. I was taught to Love and not Hate. I was taught to give and not take. It is just a simple "Message of Love" and we can't even do that. The Bible, Torah, all warn about Greed! Because there is no Love, Greed has taken root, even if it means Harm! Just look around and see what Greed has done to our Environment and the Life in it. Lynn, Rosemary R and others, these are my sisters and I love with all my Heart. Lynn knows and Rosemary is new, but I care for them, equally! "To Love!"

The Jewish people have given much to the peoples of this world.

Yet, they have suffered much from the people of this world.

I truly believe that if our lives were more than the worry of money, bills and fighting for our human rights, we'd be in a different state of mind. It would be a different world. I agree with so much of what Russell has said. Even though I'm spiritual and not religious now, I still find myself at a mass now and then for special reasons. He pretty much gave you the text of some of the integral sections of the mass. I grew up living and breathing church, sacraments, and the very popular "wanting ti be a nun" when I was a youngun'. But I found later that far beyond the hopeful of faith were worlds where true respect and love really did exist. I lived in this realm for many years. I was a dancer.
Me thinks the folks in this video and others probably don't have a creative, artistic, or even spiritual calling. I feel sorry for them. I want to teach them. We're a global community now. Isn't that amazing? We can reach and share to the ends of the earth. That's a miracle. I hope we use it wisely...

The Jewish People are the Children of Israel, God's Children.

From the KJV of the Bible: God's Holy inspired word:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the
earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3 ( God promised this to both Abraham of Israel & his grandson Jacob ).

I am not sure why in the past, so many countries wanted control of Israel & its people,

However today's time it's over OIL.

Perhaps favoritism with the OIL nations that want control over Israel ?

I only know that it is God's Holy Land for His children, the Jewish people, & I do not question God's Holy

I am a Christian & I LOVE the Jewish people.

No excuse for this.

Cowardly act on the behalf of those who hate God's Jewish people.

I did not listen to the video as I have heard enough BULLS**T in my lifetime already. I do not care what religion anyone is, to me that is irrelevant. There are only 2 kinds of people on this earth as far as I am concerned, the ones I am friends with, and the others who hate someone or wish to do them harm because of the colour of their skin, religion, country of origin, bank balance, eating habits, choice of clothing, sexual orientation etc. etc. etc. And to top it off I do not believe in God, so I guess many people will hate me for that. But I still can wake up in the morning and love and respect the woman who stares back at me from the mirror.

I am a Christian & do my best to live by & do God's will.

God sent Jesus' to die on the cross for our sins period.

I know of no scripture where God's Holy inspired word where He says to PERSECUTE the Jewish people for this.

Just as B A noted above: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3 ( God promised this to both Abraham of Israel & his grandson Jacob ).

No specification here of the Jewish people. Just God's instructions simply put: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3 ( God promised this to both Abraham of Israel & his grandson Jacob ).

This message is for ALL " them " not the Jewish alone, but " them " ALL. And this truth still applies TODAY.
