U.S. Government Plunging Further Into Debt at $1 Million a Minute

Business  (tags: economy, usa, money, finance )

The U.S. government's national debt is growing by almost $1 million per minute, or $1.4 billion per day. Merely paying the interest on what this debt has become is anticipated to place an increasing strain on public programs.

Michael, I love your title for this submission. "Plunging" is the absolute most appropriate terminology for this administration and economy.

Thank you.

This INFURIATES me...it would be one thing to know our taxes and debt were being used to HELP Americans...instead they're being used to grease government palms and kill!

Yes it makes me mad too. The U.S has been burning the candle at both ends until now there's nothing left.

The failsafes that existed during the great depression aren't there now.

And being given to the UN to distribute as foreign aid, but is actually being passed directly to the governments of North Korea, Iran and possibly Russia. As early as 1999 (the Clinton Administration) through 2005 (the Bush Admintstration) the UNDP has passed millions to North Korea. We still wouldn't know if someone hadn't blown the whistle. Now North Korea is getting food aid. Gee, what did they do with those millions?

Yes, and does anybody remember a woman from San Francisco vowed on Nov. 7, 'Regime Change day' would do something about it? Well, the 'First 100 Hours' have come and gone, and the Democrats have done nothing.

In fact, Cindy Sheehan is now running against Nancy Pelosi! Cynthia McKinney has recently stood by her side. (Do you know who Cynthia McKinney is?)

Another good post Michael. The US debt is highly due to an over-expenditure on part of oil exploration and funding the great war to more oil ownership. Wake Up Bush Admin, admit defeat of a leading world country.

Time for that new International Society change hey Michael? ...lol

Yes, Jeff it is past time. It's time for a change period. No more establishments; if the people are going to live then let them choose their own destiny.
