I think this is a beautiful doll. A great idea. I know a little girl who has Down's Syndrome and I'm sure she would love to have a doll like her! As a matter of fact I over heard her asking her mom once, why none of her dolls looked like her. So, I thank you for posting this Michael!

Absolutely heavenly idea. People and especially children with disabilities need to know they are special, very special. How wonderful!!!

Yeah I kinda think it's a good idea too. I know a few disabled kids in my youth that would have adored such a thing.

Great idea...humans don't look like Barbie, we all come in different shapes and sizes, and have different features and flaws. It's a beautiful thing to teach children about acceptance, no matter how "different" others look. This dolls will be perfect to show children that "normal" does not fit any specific molds. Amazing concept!!! Thanks for sharing Michael!

I read this article last week and thought it was interesting...I think it's important like Maria says above to have all sorts of different dolls...what is "normal" anyways? I also read this really thought-provoking blog post about the dolls by a blogger with OI, I highly recommend it! Here's the link:

I agree that children with disabilities need to know that they are special, but they also need to know that they are like everyone else and have dolls that reflect their own image.

Thank you.

Yes, I agree there is a very fine line between the two Marian.
