All They Are Saying Is Give Bees a Chance

Animals  (tags: bees, endangered )

We are in serious trouble without our bees. Not only are they the only insects that produce food for humans, they pollinate more than 100 crops as well as 90 percent of all flowering plants.

This is a serious and important post
that needs to make front page, Mike.
It's also an under-reported story, imho.
Most people, like my sweet friend Carole,
would be amazed, and then terrified, to
find out how important bees are to our
food change.
Where I live, in rural-agricultural East
Tennessee, the local saying is "No Farms,
No Food", which is very true. But, it comes
down to something more basic and alot smaller:
"No Bees, No Food".
The scariest thing is, no one knows just what
causing Colony Collapse Disorder. There's a theory
floating around that the cause is cell towers. If
that's pans out to true, then we are all well and
truly screwed. Can you see people being willing to
abandon their cellphones to save the bees?
I can't.
Thanks, Mike.

OOPS!
"food change" should be "food CHAIN".

Man doesn't respect anyone or anything regardless of how beneficial it is. It's really sad.

It seems like the smaller the animal, the less attention it gets, or even bad attention. The eco-chain includes EVERY critter, no matter how small or how big. They're all an important part of what keeps this poor old world going, and we're NOTHING without the eco-chain in place.

Boy, we're going to regret not mending our ways... we're just too selfish.

I see the bees in large numbers here recently as they literally visit my home here in Barbados they want to migrate near the roof and living room area and I just try to talk them away and they listen with little help from a mosquito coil in high winds. Somehow they seem to understand! I look at them as they fly away and pray for all of us for safety.True story. Michael, Thanks for your input.

It's so scary the way the bees are just flying off. Anything we can do has got to be an improvement! Thanks, Michael, another great story.
