I am not a fan of Imus. I do think that he is stupid. However I wonder if he was trying to make the point that the police keep arresting him because he is black. The reason I wonder about it, is that the story states the man in question has been arrested several times but has never been convicted of anything.

I cannot stand his brand of *journalism*, but he is not a stupid man. He says stupid things. And yes, he is blatantly racist. Racism has NO place in society.

If you believe that Imus was actually speaking out against racism, you must also believe the war in Iraq had nothing to do with oil, Bush and Cheney just joined Amnesty International, and Barack Obama is desperately seeking more photo ops with Muslim women.

I wish that when somebody say's something discriminating or sexist and abusive about women, the same reaction towards the person would be expressed.And even do I do NOT agree with racist and discriminating talk, the way all race"s talk about and discriminate women , on the radio, tv, etc. must be fought.The words rude and demeaning are in order to when it conserning women.

Everytime there is a challenge to bigotry,I hear this anti-historical "pc gone mad" idiocy.
Opposing racism has nothing to do with pc.To judge people by their own individual qualities,and not by race,is basic decency and sense.
Were those who opposed slavery pc?was the civil rights movement built on pc?of course not.People have fought for fairness throughout history,well before the right wing worked themselves up,with their made up,twisted or one sided stories about pc.
Its not surprising that in Britain,the two newspapers most obsessed with "political correctness gone mad",both had nice things to say about Mussolini and Hitler between the wars.

Sorry this man is not entertaining, period. He makes stupid comments about nothing, he is an idiot. I dont know if he is a racist but I am sure he is a sexist, look how young his wife is, sorry but that is a sign right there that something is amiss, I know my dad was married to someone 30 years younger then him--they have issues!
