I hope this is only a ketchup conspiracy, as I must have green chilis! Seriously, even though human waste has always been used for fertilizers, our waste is probably much more toxic than in the old days! We need to have safeguards on our food supply that protect us from these now regularly occuring outbreaks. Noted, thank you Michael.

I love Salsa. Especially the "fresh" salsa that has uncooked onions, jalapenos and cilantro:( Now, I will only have roasted salsa, that is when you roast your peppers, tomatoes and onions over an open flame, or seared on a very hot pan. Safer still, will be to boil your ingredients and throw into the blender. Personally, I do not like cooked Cilantro only in soups. So I omit cilantro from my salsa for now. Until they figure out the culprit.

Noted, Thank you Michael.

It's getting to the point that I am afraid to eat anymore.

Good news for me. I can't tolerate heat in my food so I don't eat Salsa or Mexican cuisine in general. But I do like plum tomatoes and sweet basil on my pan pizza. Wonder if that's safe? One way to find out, aye what!

Many of the ingredients of salsa you can grow in your own backyard. It's safer because YOU know what's in it. Or rather what's NOT in it.
