A British television documentary has shown the extent to which Muslims are victims of slander in the media.

I think this is in very poor taste!!! There are good and bad in every race!!! RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER is what is LACKING and why there is so much UNREST on our planet. We are all different and we should RESPECT each other and our BELIEFS, RELIGIONS, WAYS OF LIFE!!! Blessings Peace & Harmony. Thanx Michael.

Victims of slander? I think Not. You go to someone else's country (most often non-invited) and enjoy ALL the benefits and priviledges only to turn around and bite the hand that feeds you. That sort of behaviour is not only manifested in Britain but in most western countries and australia. The "MIGRANTS OF OLD" knew how to appreciate the new life offered by the Host Country and adapt. It is not the Host that has to adapt to them.

"Immigrants, Muslims, homosexuals, terrorists. Disease-ridden degenerates. They had to go. Strength through unity. Unity through faith. I'm a God-fearing Englishman and I'm goddamn proud of it!
Strength through unity! Unity through faith!
England prevails because *I* say it does! "

Lewis Prothero, a proud Englishman - pshaw! Seems some Brits would love such a "news reporter"...

A few weeks ago I was living with a Muslim family in Africa. They treated me like one of them. They became real friends. Muslims or not, I love them, and shall do everything to help them when they need me. Thank you Michael.

Interesting ...although the last time I checked Muslim is a religious faith (practice) not a race of people ...

Precisely Margaret. Unfortunately, Muslim Fanatics NEVER (and the rest of them very seldom) identify themselves by their nationality - only as badly done-by Muslims. There-in lies the problem.

Come on! This is a bit of comedic writing. It's a bit funny, a bit absurd and stupid but he's right. Muslims are betrayed in a very unfair light. There are a loud minority of fanatics, just like there is in the Christian community of which I am a part. I feel that these bad Christians make a lot of other people hate Christianity and it's sad. The same is true of Islam. The vast majority of Muslims are moderate and even liberal and the same is true of Chritians. We should not judge people on their religion if we don't understand their views. The bible is full of hateful language, killing and violence, that doesn't mean I subscribe to it, I most value the parts of the bible that talk about peace and love. If you read the Koran you will find that it has these same qualities.

The Topic is "victims of slander of Muslims by the media" - not by christians or people with other belief systems. I watched a documentary on OUTLOOK AUSTRALIA last night and I would really recommend this as a "must view" 99.9% of the muslims interviewed referred to the Australians as "them" and to themselves as "we muslims" even though they were born and bread in Australia. Very much an eye-opener.

I would like to give it a look. I don't live in Australia but maybe if you give me the name of it or a website I might be able to find it. It's pretty hard to identify yourself with a nationality of people that hate you. I live in the US and I see horrible racism toward Muslims. It's very sad.
