Hmmm...is it really, or are food speculators hoarding it? Inquiring minds want to know.

Good question, Cate ... What a scary, uncertain world this is.
Thanks, Michael. Noted.

Have you ever seen how much good food goes to waste in this country? If not, ask your local school if you can sit through a lunch wave near the garbage cans. It will make you sick to see the waste. Entire lunches thrown away.

I've noted this and agree it is a scary, uncertain world.

This is a bad, Twilight Zone kind of prediction. And it won't hit us as hard as it will the world's poor who live on a little rice and fish...they are the ones who will be hit with starvation. Their governments are not much help, and may be the very hoarders that Cate is referring to! Who would have thought that food and oil would have so much in common? Thanks, Michael.

Thank you Michael! I should say that as parents, we are the first one to teach our children not to waste. It might sound like the "old story" when mom used to tell me "hey, there are kids that have to search their food inside trash cans". But I think that the more and the earlier you teach them the better. :)
