I'm still not quite sure how I feel about Newman's Own partnering with McDonald's. Does it debase Paul Newman and the virtuous brand he's built, or does it redeem McDonald's from the bad rap that its suffered from exposes like SuperSize Me?

If they have a bad rap, its because they are poisening people and telling them it's good for them. What's their slogan again?! I forget, I stopped eating there a long, long, long time ago. lol.

For anyone who has NOT seen Morgan Spurlock's
"Super-Size Me", i highly recommend it, although
it will scare the hell out of you as it did me.
During the last week of his "experiment", Spurlock's
internist was begging him to stop: he was on the verge
of liver failure.
I will NEVER eat ANY kind of fast-food again!
Hanna said it best:
That crap is POISON!

Thanks, Michael!

I would say that it is Newman's attempt to put good stuff out there for all the people that are going to continue to eat at McDonalds, regardless of what they sell. Thanks Michael

I rarely eat fast food anymore...every once in awhile, though, I find myself at DQ Grill having a hot dog with cheese and onion rings with a vanilla malt...but then, I'm an old-fashioned girl.

Even if McBarf would go fully organic i'd never support them. They let all the little mom-and-pop stores do all the heavy footwork for decades while they're killing people with the crap they have the nerve to call food, and now that they see everybody is finally turning 'green' they hop on the wagon and brag how great they are. Same with wal-mart, they probably aim for controlling the organic market eventually and wash down the standards. Two-faced puke bags...

McDonalds has made some efforts in the last 15 years or so to be more health conscious (switching from the McDLT to the short lived McLean and switching from lard or vegetable oil for their fries & burgers plus the addition of salads) than most of their competition, but I don't believe they'll ever go completely healthy or organic.
