New tests of 100 "natural" and "organic" soaps, shampoos and other consumer products show that nearly half of them contained a cancer-causing chemical that is a byproduct of petrochemicals used in manufacturing.

Its bad enough that the majority of the ingredients in mainstream personal care products are toxic, but we have to contend with companies preying on those of us who are making an effort to eliminate such harmful chemicals from our lives. Even at the health-food store you have to read all the labels and know your 'I-can't-pronounce-that-what-the-heck-IS-it?'s, because the only folks who have legal jurisdiction over the personal care products industry are... the personal care products industry! Not even the FDA has any authority. This is why, whenever I can, I make my own soaps and cleaning products - it's the only way to be sure you're not exposing yourself to something that could quite possibly - no exaggeration - kill you.

From what I read from the article-even those these contain 1,4-dioxane this compound is NOT added to the products-this happens as a byproduct to soften the harsh detergents. I still say these products are safer than buying petroleum based products-and better for the environment also. If you read the ingredients on Seventh Generation or the other listed-I know what the ingredients are-and they aren't a laundry list of chemicals. Just my 2 cents. =)

Here is a vote for simplicity. Products like Dr. Broners get my vote.

After 20 yrs using Dr Broner they are now Off Limits! No longer produced in USA and into the New World Order naziism of producing overseas with toxins then selling the poisons back to us!
