I am wondering why PETA needs to ask Sharon Stone??? Why not just the average citizen who wears fur?
Why are celebrities the only ones not allowed to wear fur??

I agree with you Margaret. But PETA uses celebs as kind of anti-role models in these cases. Consumers who buy fur in general celeb or not, need to be pin-pointed!

PETA needs to clean up their own act before castigating anyone else......

Let Ingrid Newkirk try to explain that away....SHE CAN'T......

True, true, I am not in agreement with all that PETA does. Despite that, they still fight some fights I want to see won. But the things such as Maggi is talking about, do make PETA look bad, and confusing to the public eye!

I think what everyone has to keep in mind is that PETA is a "business",,,and it is a business that relies heavily on public donations.
They will do what they can to keep their business running and their non profit status..

TY for posting that link Maggi. It's always wise to know as much as you can about who you rally behind. And Margaret is right, bottom line PETA is a buisiness, and therefor always has political stances they take and agenda's, not all will be agreeable in nature.

I do think there are issues internally they need to look at and get back to basics on. At times they lose sight of what they are fighting for :.(

PETA also is in alliance with terrorist organizations such as ALF. I agree that we do not need animal labs to test products and medical data but groups such as ALF that turn these animals loose to fend for themselves is NOT the answer.

Um I wouldnt believe that twisted CCF propaganda, either. Check out this info:

CCF vs HSUShttp://www.care2.com/c2c/share/detail/8051
(scroll down past the first article, its all there)

CCF lobbies for the Meat industry, tobacco industry, they lobby against Mother Against Drunk Drivers. Yea.. thats a good resource. NOT!

Please read the links above and all the info they provide.

You are SO right Echo ELES!!!! "The Center for Consumer Freedom" is a FRONT group for Philip Morris, Outback Steakhouse, KFC, cattle ranchers etc.!!!! To learn more about CCF see http://www.ConsumerDeception.com and http://www.CitizensForEthics.org/activities/campaign.php?view=3 I have been a member of PETA for YEARS and I understand why they do what they do. I have met a lot of good, compassionate (and NOT wealthy!) people and there have been MANY positive changes for the animals. It is a constant up hill battle; for example look how many people STILL believe the dairy and meat industries LIES about protein etc.!! THESE are the people making money on the misery, abuse and horrific deaths of animals!!! If you REALLY want to know the WHOLE TRUTH about what is going on watch "Meet Your Meat" ,"Peaceable Kingdom", or "Earthlings". If you don't like PETA then do not support them but at the same time please do not spread lies about them either.

I don't support PETA or other terrorist groups that use animal welfare as a front, Laura, and the link I posted above (www.petakillsanimals.com) is valid and truthful. Believe whatever, support whomever, it is your choice, but the truth is out there.....

Actually its twisted truth, which we both proved in the links we gave. As you said. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. If you want to believe professional con artists and not read the truth about your choice. That's your choice.

And either way, Sharon Stone deserves what she gets. If that is a real leopard she is wearing in that pic, that is illegal. A highly endangered species. Funny how these items always turn into a peta hating slander rant.

Sharon stone is Skanky Rank

Hate is a mighty strong word....And if written, it is libel, not slander, just for the record....let PETA sue me....lol.....

Umm yes Im well aware the diff between libel and slander, but libel didnt sound as good in my selective wordage phrasing. And surely youve orally spoken your opinion at some point.

In any case, the real issue is being avoided in the exchange. Sharon Stone is a disgusting Dead Animal Garment Sporting Skank. JMO

LOL
