noting with such sadness that someone could do this to that sweet little furbaby...I sure hope that they catch whoever did this & that they are severly punished...I have a little chihuahua & first of all I never would have left my baby outside for that long without someone actually watching her for fear that someone would steal her let along doing this to her...this is so barbaric...I do however also blame the owners for not taking better care of this poor baby...

This is scary stuff! That said, I wish they hadn't of left the dog outside for the weekend - it's close to 110, and humid, in Phoenix right now.

The kind of abusive creeps who hurt & kill animals have very little patience and very poor impulse control. My guess is that the little dog was barking & crying because he had been left alone for days, and the murderer is a neighbor who was enraged by the incessant yipping. The police would be wise to examine the attitudes of the neighbors toward barking dogs, and pay extra close attention to anyone with a history of wife-beating or other violent crimes. Someone who would do this to a dog wouldn't hesitate to break his wife's jaw.
