On December 16th, 2014, President Obama banned oil and gas drilling in the Bristol Bay, BUT this does not affect the Pebble Mine gold and copper mega-mine project which would destroy the ecosystem, the great salmon migration and spirit bear habitat.

Noted and signed. You would think that the massively decreased amount of salmon on the rivers would be enough to give people a clue, wouldn't you?

Thanks Victoria for posting and sharing. This destruction is inexcusable.
"How rich will we be when we have converted all our forests, all our soil, all our water resources, and our minerals into cash?"
- Ding Darling, American cartoonist/conservationist.
"There must be progress, certainly. But we must ask ourselves what kind of progress we want, and what price we want to pay for it. If, in the name of progress, we want to destroy everything beautiful in our world, and contaminate the air we breathe, and the water we drink, then we are in trouble."
- Marjory Stoneman Douglas, American environmentalist.
