Taking a day off work is a luxury many people don't have. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that 50 percent of the US workforce receives 7 or fewer paid holidays every year while the average worker receives a paltry 8 days.

This is a significant article that most corporations and business owners ought to study. When the employees are not given time to recoup from daily adversity and the demands, as well as not receive the financial benefits of the higher paid positions, - PLUS, live in a hopeless sense of never being able to escape the confines of their situation, - well, the work force will not function for the good and the prosperity that is intended. While the 'real workers' suffer, eventually, the 'real profits' will also suffer. When business understands that the most valuable element in any business are those 'PEOPLE' who make it all come together, and THEY are of the highest consideration, we can begin to see 'REAL PROFIT' in every arena of business, and in society at large. Until then, we are just making 'everyone SICK' - and tired, and we WILL - all pay a serious price for this unconscionable practice.

Thanks for this forum to share ideas!!!

Oh it's not good; even in Britain the workplace has definitely become a lot more pressured. Today's bosses are in my opinion much more aggressive, sociopathic and meaner than I ever recall from the past. I can confidently predict that some one or other of my colleagues will violently strike out at my current boss because he cannot control himself. He loses his temper regularly with the workers and he gets up and personal in your face whilst poking his finger within inches of his victims eyes.
