On 07 March 2009, the Town of Portsmouth, RI had a ribbon cutting for its new 1.5 MW wind turbine. This process began in late 2004 and is now a reality. Let the winds howl!!

This is Rhode Islands first publicly funded wind turbine.

I used to live there, I saw this project underway, I am thrilled that it finally made it! I was so happy when they were working on it...this is great news. I drove by that wind turbine nearly everyday...lol!

Thanks again...a dream that turned into reality!
