I have started a new petition/news for this due to much conflicting info on if the dog has really been saved/rescued,we need to be sure that he has.When done I will send out both petitions(first one collected 1,447 signs) and will send out both C2 news articles with it.
Also I have not yet heard back from PETA so I will be calling them again today.So sorry for any confusion on this issue,but our main concern must be to get this dog to a safe place,we did great on the first one and am sure this one will do just as great.

Well we do not know for sure,I guess there are 2 dogs in Mexico that are very similar and one has been saved,- WE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF IT WAS THE DOBERMAN FROM MY PETITION OR THE OTHER ONE,and everyone who knows speaks spanish,so I am having a hard time finding out the info I need.I am calling PETA back in about an hour,they were to get back to me on this and haven't yet.

I am in constant contact with someone who lives by this dog and is going to take another pic and send it to her,the duct tape is removed now,but the dog is still with the owners.Many people are watching this house,this dog and the owners,also they are in contact with an organization who is gathering up the funds right now to buy the dog from the owners.will keep you posted.

Hello again Dianne. I can confir to you that the rescued dog was not the doberman. I am in contact with a lady from Tepic who was there when the picture was taken. The tape was removed from the doggy´s mouth right after the picture was taken. They tried to rescue the dog but they couldn´t. An animal protection organization of Tepic is collecting funds so they can "buy" the doberman from the family and find her (it is a female) an adopting family. Tomorrow I will get a recent picture of her. Thank you all for caring.

I just got off the phone with peta and they are all over this!! I gave them all the info I had and all of the links that I had,they are on the move with this now!!.tHEY WILL GET BACK TO ME and if they do not i will call them back first thing in the morning.I feel much much better now.

Dianne i cant thank you enough for NOT taking just anyones word for it when it comes to this poor dog and i commend you for fighting so very hard for his safe rescue i will happily sign a million petitions if it gets this sweet girl away from those monsters! PETA is all over this,they have called me back 3x in past hour and sent me 4 e-mails in past hour,it looks good!! Still praying and lit a candle for this little guy,peta is very concerned and need to lok into this now they said because if the duct tape is still on the dog,then he is going to die soon.Also they said that they will do everything to see that this dog is removed asap.

Signed and noted. I had hoped this poor dog was rescued but I see now she wasn't. Thank you, Dianne, for following up on this and making sure the dog is safe. Even if the tape is removed she needs to be removed from her owners because they've proven they just don't care and that they are guilty of severe abuse. I sincerely hope that either PETA or the rescue group in Mexico gets this dog away from her owners. I'll check back for updates as I'm sure you'll let us know what happens, Dianne.
