Poor little Parmesan. Subjected to exploitation in a zoo and not even able to enjoy the freedom he deserved. If that's not enough, his captor is this evil woman. What a terrifying, cruel death. And 30 days is justice? Disgusting. Add to that, she will be ALLOWED to work in zoos and sanctuaries in the future. Beyond belief.

After the jail term when she is out some one should drown her too. Who needs such cruel bitches in a zoo. How on earth this vermin became a zoo Director?? Push her into a drainage or a sewer & make sure her face will never surface again on this planet earth.

Only i month and she was the director I think we can do better than that to make our stand for the suffering and cruelty done to these animals she deserves more of a sentence and be made an example of for others to take note don't be cruel to animals period!

A month in jail for sadistically drowning an animal with an injured eye? No contact with any animals of any kind, if that's what she's going to do for an animal with a minor injury!

She should get more than a month in jail. She should never be able to work around animals. And the Reston zoo should be checked out by somenoe who has authority, yet cares about other living beings.

Virginia zoo director Meghan Mogensen has been banned from making any future decisions in the care of animals at any zoo or sanctuary.

Meghan should have gotten more than just 30 days in jail.

Ty, Dianne.

Un mes de condena es poco tiempo para el asesinato de un animal y además con sufrimiento innecesario !!!

This is exactly why animal atrocities will continue in all corners of this planet. Despite this women's actions which reulted in a murdered animal, she gets only 1 month in jail and by all accounts,is actually able to return to the same zoo she worked at??? How does this case help curb animal cruelty? Seems to me that it's open season for all animals..she needs a labotomy.
