For Ryder McConathy, his dog is more than just a family pet; he's like a brother. So when the 8-year-old's pooch developed a disability, the caring kid was eager to do anything to help.

How beautiful, you can really feel the love between them. I like how the Mum says that after he was injured, 'we obviously had to get him wheels..." not put him down! Love it! Thanks Zora and also Barb for sending the link to this post to me. :0)

If we had more adults like this we wouldn't have the wildlife crisis now. Noted with thanks.

This is what good parenting looks like. If more kids were like this, I would have hope for the future. Congrats to Ryder for a job well done and to Cacious on his new wheels.

A heartwarming story as disabled pets are like disabled people who learn to cope with the disability. I had a blind cat as a purrfect companion and she got around very well. Some said that I should put her to sleep but they did not realize that a cat adapts well. Needless to say she gave me years of companionship.
