look like Steve is being missed in more ways than one!!! The handlers sound like they need some brush up courses on handling the animals at the zoo.

Things do happen when working with animals, period. But to criticize this zoo because of the owners is really pathetic, even worse is to add criticism of a 10 yr old child in the mix. The story is about a tiger rough housing, period. What about the monkey throwing rocks at visitors at another zoo. That's o.k. right? Oh I guess the Irwin name is not involved for that one to be to important. Give this Zoo & Family a break. Mostly thank God you aren't in there shoes.

Safety first, these handlers must be more intuative when playing with these tigers and know when to quit.

When handling animals, sometimes things can go wrong even with your own small domesticated cats, they can scratch or bite if they are feeling grumpy. This is a larger cat, and the wounds are larger. The handlers know the risks. Why make big deal and sensationalise everything??
I think the press has much to answer for in how they rev up the public.
They end up giving animals a bad name and make the people who love and care for animals appear stupid. SHAME !!!

Amazingly, this sensationalism that vilifies the animals comes from people who say that they love the animals.

And I agree with you so much, Lili. They talk like it's such a big deal but love can walk through fire without burning. How does anyone even talk us into a mood like even the slightest injury is a big problem? That's silly.
