This is one of the few issues that was unanimouly condemned by the US Congress. A rare event. If the hardcore Sens and Reps find this hunt repulsive, then that's really saying something. I only wish Canada and Nairobi saw it this way.

Thanx Jaqueline. When Canada had a ban on Seal hunting they were seen as one of the gentlest & bravest caring countries in the world. It is such a shame that they bhrought seal hunting back. They even subsidize it tho most Canadians are against it & they really should use that money to help the boys find decent safe jobs. More boys were killed out on the ice recently when the coast guard towing their boat capsized it instead. A separate incident but Thank goodness their Coast Guard did not also cause the Sea Shepherd to sink by ramming it.It is very dangerous out there this time of year. Tragic situation all the way around that could be easily avoided with a little planning for better jobs, instead of this cruel waste of life for the men & seals.
