The sad thing about all of this, though, is that this is an endangered species. I worry that he may have no other chances and thus this one goes extinct. Reminds me too much of the Chinese turtles that mated but also failed to produce offspring. Maybe there are just too few animals now, I fear. Noted with some sadness.
