Should I've been surprised?

May their terrorist plots continuously come to naught.

The West has let the enemy inside. We will see much more of this as the islamic population increases and the UK establishment continues to appease and cater to the muslims.

How much of this are we not even told about?

Oh and BTW, let's hear from all those who rant and rave about security services keeping an eye on what goes on in mosques and on Islamists. It's a damn good thing they did or there would have been uncounted loss of life and damage. Too bad they weren't watching these primitives before 9/11 in New York or 7/7 in London or the terrible train bombing in Madrid etc etc etc.

Well, if you're going to the games, also don't forget to bring your own hand lotion. Remember there was plans to put toxic substances in hand cream...cyanide I think... to be absorbed through the skin.

I hope they're catching all the people plotting. How sad if they manage to get in an attack.

Also, it's telling that there is so much plotting going on. Pace? Tolerance? Only towards them, not for anyone else.

Now if they can just continue stopping the rest of them!

Who would have guessed that 'peaceful Muslims' would want to cause havoc and death at the Olympic Games? Seems that this life isn't good enough for them: here's a quote about their obsession with the 'hereafter';
The Prophet (saww) said,
‘He who makes the Hereafter his greatest concern when he wakes up and before he sleeps, Allah instills needlessness in his heart and mends his affairs for him; he will not depart from this life before having collected all his sustenance. But the one who makes this life his greatest concern when he wakes up and before he sleeps, Allah instils poverty between his eyes and disbands his affairs; he will not collect from this life more than what was allotted to him.’ -
Bihar al-Anwar, v. 77, p. 151, no. 104

Phyllis, that passage is really instilling obsession. With their 7th Century beliefs, they have no business in progressive societies.

Lie down with dogs and you get fleas. What a relief to hear these bastards were apprehended. But we fear there may be more to come. Thanks Rob and Jay.

IF the government is serious they should send any foreigners who commit and offence back to their own country....NO EXCEPTION AND THE IMMIGRATION CONTROL SHOULD BE MORE STRICT UK LIKE EUROPE IS GETTING THE DUSTBIN OF THE WORLD!

I was really shocked to hear from my sister who is living in London about the rockets placed on rooftops to protect the Olympics. The threats of violence from a section of society is absolutely insane and bringing around insane measures. When will they say enough is enough. What are the limits? http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2012/s3491418.htm

Eli T, that is an amazing article link you gave. Thanks! I guess it should be reassuring.

It is clear that there is a potential threat from terrorism almost anywhere in the world and that an event that gets as much publicity as the Olympics do is bound to be a target. Britain is used to dealing with terrorists incidents (with the IRA) and as such our security services are amongst the most highly trained in the world. Having said that it is impossible to cover all eventualities, as was displayed by the World Trade Tower incident. Hopefully this event, which is about people from around the world getting together to take part in sport, will be respected by those who feel aggrieved. As I see it the biggest threat comes from the weather, it is very wet in the UK at the moment!

It is clear to us that all manner of precautions will have to be taken for these Olympic Games. It is reassuring to hear that the security services are on top of it - hope it stays that way.

Noted. Glad they were caught. Now if we could some how get the rest of them. The sad thing is, once you catch some of them, there are always others ready to take their place. How sad and terrifying. Thanks for the post Rob & Jay.
