I do hope that being a vegetarian is just more than a fashion statement or a fad. The meat nowadays are not what you think they are - filled with antibiotics and so on... not healthy meat anymore...

Interesting article though... more teens are becoming vegetarians these days especially the girls.

Thanks for the forward DAPHNE and I fwd both articles. I am very proud of myself because I am 100% vegetarian now. But it does make me feel ashamed of the young girls in our "great nation." It's almost as if I feel responsible for what they eat or don't eat. Crazy, huh??

just came back from the super market...they had beef tongues...lamb hearts & brains...all in fresh blood ....in Gods name how SICK humans are to eat that disgusting 'graveyard' ??!!!!!!!!!! i need pills for nausea here..anyone??

I hope this is the wave of the future, young people with a conscience and a purpose. My mom was just reading an article about the massive amounts of water needed to raise and "process" cattles. Yet another reason to stop eating cows - and all other animals for that matter.

Daphne, don't ever, EVER watch the Travel Channel show Bizzare Foods. Hearts, brains, and tongues almost seem mundane compared to some of the things this guy eats, like dogs, cat coffee, and live things. Unbelievabley disturbing.

How to start Daphne...I am such a picky eater and like I have said befor I have tried and failed...I dont like beans, I dont like soy...I just am heart wrenched on all this....
