This has a video, but be warned some of it is graphic. This poor Chow. How it must have suffered. This is especially upsetting to me because I have 2 Chows... both were rescues....

This is really heartbreaking and disgusting. Pity they couldn't slash a few cuts into the owner and leave her outside without treatment and let maggots eat into her, so she knows what the poor dog went through.

This is just one instance of what goes on out there. The dog "Hope" which was rescued and which prompted my "Petition for Hope" was found in much the same condition, her flesh was so infested with mites and open wounds that her flesh was literally rotting and falling off of her. The owner had said she took her to the vet...ya right. Hope was saved after a long moth of medical hositalization and she is now a very happy 6 month old puppy enjoying life with her new family. Note that the original owner was NOT charged, things like this happen all the time in the Canadian North and they get away with it. Let's all start doing the same to the human scum that do unto animals.

That's the problem they get away with it, because the laws to protect animal from inhuman animals are simply not strong enough and therefore not taken seriously. Animals are still viewed as property and that is what needs to be changed. The AR movement needs to unite in a big way and become one big organization to really make some impact. As it stands at the moment govts. are now taking people's rights away who protest against animal abuse and call them terrorist and jail them.

Noted! this is horrible. the woman that reported the injured dog taken to vet, she sounds like she has changed her story too many times. She should be questioned extensively and provide the name of vet to have it checked out. How can people like that live with the themselves? What do they see when they look in the mirror. The police dept should investigate, find the criminal and the DA ask for maximum punishment allowed by law. do they have a crime for lying....maybe depraved indifference. and she needs psych care. Just awful. She would if she is involved in any way would not want me to be the judge!
