Thank you Kathy, first off.

Living in Canada...this is of particular IMPORTANCE to me!! Over the years, I have written countless letters & emails in SUPPORT of this BAN!! This is a MASSIVE SLAUGHTER of these poor little pups every Spring in Newfoundland! Our Prime Minister, Steven Harper REFUSES to stop this hunt!! Thank goodness the good people at 'Humane Society International' (the international arm of the HSUS) have diligently documented this slaughter year after year drawing support from all over the world to BAN this bloodbath!!! The gorgeous pristine snow in March, over a period of a month become RED with blood, from seal pups that are clubbed and skinned...many STILL ALIVE at the time.. Pups only a few days old, the majority of them!!! PETA, Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd and other animal welfare organizations have boycotted and documented this, year after year!

PLEASE...we MUST continue this fight...we are certainly GAINING TREMENDOUS SUPPORT and the CDN Government is feeling the heat!! There are fewer sealers every year going out, as a result of the reprise they feel from our voices and the massive INTERNATIONAL OUTRAGE through news coverage!

The majority of Canadians are AGAINST this SLAUGHTER!!

Paul McCartney has come and witnessed the beauty of these pups and their mothers...He continues to denounce this hunt!! These newborn pups are a beautiful site to behold, amid the pristine eastern shores of Canada.... Instead of turning this area into a lovely place for eco-tourism to develop...the CDN Government and the barbaric sealers CONTINUE to KILL!!
