A "maverick" doctor who allegedly exploited cancer patients by offering unproven treatments should not be allowed to practise again, a court has been told. Lawyers for the Medical Board of Queensland argued in the Health Practitioners Tribunal in Brisbane

The "unproven anti-cancer drug" he used is Ukrain, which is made from Greater celandine and has a long history of herbal use. According to Biomed central: "Seven trials met our inclusion criteria. Without exception, their findings suggest that Ukrain has curative effects on a range of cancers."
