Yeah, beating a monkey in the head to see how much the poor soul can take is serious research:( I saw the special on 60 minutes some years ago. It's nothing more than fraud. Great find Chrissy, glady you got at least a finger in here:) I pray they hang tough and keep the ban.
Much thanks Chrissy

I hope the supreme court upholds the lower courts ban on these primate experiments. It would be a tremendous step forward in banning all animal experiments and what a day of celebration it will be when there will be an end to all experimenting on animals!

Noted with thanks for this good news Chrissy and so happy to see you posting.

It's wonderful to see common sense and a correct interpretation of the law by an unbiased court. Scientists check their ethics and compassion at the lab door as long as they are receiving money to experiment on helpless animals. Good they thought about the burden to the animals.

"The court did not refer to dignity, but agreed that society was unlikely to see the benefits of the research during the three-year funding period approved, and thus the burden on the animals was not justified. Swiss law requires that the benefit to society must be weighed against the burden to animals before any animal experiment can take place."
