the author talks about how a chicken breast that grows in a petri dish is not exactly appetizing, but how about slitting a chicken's throat and letting it bleed out and then plucking said bird? Not appetizing either.

I am thinking: Maybe it'a a nature? Maybe it's just your nature when you merely never have particular taste for meat? Like me: I almost never eat red meat and very seldom -- chicken or any poltry. And not because I try to play a vegeterian -- I don't want any meat. But it was interesting to read anyway if only to think how things we worry about differ... Thank you for posting.

I recently learned from Karin we do not have to eat fish for the two essential omega-3 fatty acids - dulse has the same nutrients, plus vitamin B-12, which the medical and scientific community believed only existed eating animal.

What we need is the Humane Society to sell meat. The animal would be treated humanely, that's for sure!

I ask anyone who believes in eating meat at least once a day if they believe in global warming - meat is a major contributor.
