Federal policy for affordable housing needs to be changed to really help those in need of quality housing. Tax Credit monies leak out to middlemen and wealthy investors looking for tax shelter, and too little is left for the housing.

Steel bins fill the courtyards of Rockland Place and/or Spring Gate Apartments. Shoddy roof work done in September 2006, left residents with ceiling leaks, etc. This 204-unit subsidized housing complex is located in Rockland, Mass. With gas valves installed, it not only looks like a concentration camp -- New owners are requiring rent payers abandon their apartments and personal property for several days while unfamiliar workmen have access for unnecessary appliance replacement, etc. Where are those promised accommodations?

Again The rich Turned a program intended too Benifit the Poor into Thier own Cash Cow. We Need Goverment Funding For Renter owned Cooperatives Not Sodddy Ghetos That They Tear Down and Gentrify Every 20 Years After The Poor Pay For The Project. Properly managed The coops Could Pay for themselves in 15 to 20yrs
