Sumatra's few remaining tigers may be trying to send mankind a message. The critically-endangered big cats killed six people this month. Most were illegal loggers, plying their trade in protected national parks in Indonesia's Jambi province.

hey it is a shame these tigers are killing people. it is never good for an animal to become a human killer. but at the same time these illegal loggers have no business in the tigers living area. Maybe animals are starting to fight back. what a novel idea!!!!!

I hope the cats continue to fight for their lives and mother Earth. Go cats! Humans need to back off of their habitat and stop chopping those trees. These animals have the right to self-defense.

Somebody is going to
think I'm heartless.

So be it!
But, I do not care one
iota about those loggers.
There are millions & million
of those people in that area.

Ask yourself how many
tigers are there left?
How many old forests
are even left in the world?

Damned near none!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too would like to think
the tigers are fighting back.
But it is a losing
battle for them. Eventually
there will only be tigers in zoos.

Plant trees for life.....On earth.

If people go into the tiger's habitat then they rung the risk of an attack and they are aware of it. I'm afraid that I'm on the tiger's side, they have as much right as people to live and every right to protect themselves, after all, people kill tigers! We need to support the fight for tigers and other wildlife, this is going to be a very poor world in a few years otherwise.

Yes, it would be time for the tigers to send a message and to back it up with a few loggers and no one thinks you're heartless Bette-I'm all for the tigers-Is this their turn and has karma come about for them? I think the animals are fighting back everywhere because they know that they have one amazing back up team in us-SAVE THE SUNDARBANS!

These illegal loggers deserved it. These tigers are in protected areas, enter at your own risk. I hope the tigers kill everyone of them.

Go tigers! Do unto others before they do unto you. What the hell is wrong with "humans"? It seems they care not, that the tiger is on the verge of extinction. Who can blame the tiger for fighting back?? What a sad commentary of "humanity".

Ditto Leigh. I hope they kill everyone of them. I put a story about how a tiger killed four people who strayed inot its habitat and was shot down as the state declared it aman eater.

There is more illegal logging done in Indonesia, than legal logging. The rainforest is disappearing at a tremendous rate.
Do YOU check where the wood comes from, when you buy wood products or furniture or a home?
It should be certified to come from sustainably-grown trees.

If there were no market for their products, there would be no illegal loggers. That's a WORLD market, that their lumber is sold on. Illegally-harvested wood from Indonesia, could very well be selling right in your home town, in America or anywhere. In a cheap furniture store, for example.....
You should always CHECK THE SOURCE of any wood or wood products you buy..... it is possible to do this.

GLOBALIZATION, a GLOBAL ECONOMY, is what is killing the tigers......
The illegal loggers can't get jobs in "legal" industries, because the Capitalists that BUY the wood, and sell that wood to US, to you & me, want to pay the LOWEST prices and make the BIGGEST profits..... the loggers themselves, are just barely making a subsistence living....

Too, too bad the tigers can't eat the REAL villains in the picture.... safe in their condos and hi-rises.......... the wholesale BUYERS of that lumber...... who keep this illegal business going and undercut the laws, knowingly.........
They'd have a lot more meat and fat on them, than hardscrabble loggers would......

Go TIGERS !!!???***###!!!!!!!!!
This is Tiger habitat, protected forest, therefore illegal loggers get what they deserve. It's not just Tigers who are losing their home, many other speciies are too. Logging is out of control, I am glad animals are fighting back. Go Tigers !!!!
