The results of this devastating policy clearly show that the government has no interest in the welfare of its citizens. Only the enrichment of government officials themselves.

Mugabe needs to be overthrown. Don't these people realize the white farmers provide food to its citizens. This is a very corrupt government and something must be done to stop these thugs. The Etheridges are very brave to take their stance. This is a very violtile situation with no or little back-up.

Mugabe will continue to bring destruction and pain to Zimbabwe, of course he encourages the color separation but his only interest is self gain. As this country continues it's downward spiral and more food producing farms are lost, the people will grow more hungry and maybe more angry at the leadership.

This has been going on for a long, long time. Last spring, during the lead-up to the election and during the long period of waiting to hear the results that were not announced for weeks on end, Mugabe's thugs were committing atrocities against Tsvangirai's supporters, on the one hand, and others attacked some of the remaining white farming families. And the sad thing is that the expropriation of the white farms isn't even helping the poor black workers. Like the ones interviewed in this news item - they stated the female government official who was trying to take this guy's farm refused to pay the workers when she temporarily took over a farm before. This isn't about fairness or anything else - it appears to be merely about those in power enriching themselves at the expense of both the white farmers and the black populace in general.

I was reading in Parade magazine yesterday their list of the ten worst dictators in the world. If I remember correctly, Mugabe was Number One.
