A cow escaped from a New York City slaughterhouse and wandered in Queens for nearly a mile before police captured it an hour later and took it to an Animal Care and Control center, where it was nicknamed Molly. It has now found a new safe home on a farm.

It's just a shame that are slaughter houses to begin with. To bad that all cows (and every other animal that people torture to eat) can't escape with their lives. I'm glad Molly has found a good home where she won't end up someones meal!!!!

And humans have the audicity to tell each other that animals are "stupid" and "dumb" and do everything "by instinct."

Yes, yes, believe your own lies, it's the only way to justify the bad things you do, horrible Homo sapien!

And interestingly, when a human displays similar behaviours, it's suddenly "reasoning and intelligence" and a sign of *cough, cough* so-called "superiority."

If Molly and Cinci's actions aren't clear indicators that the both cows were aware they were in impending danger, willing to risk everything to escape, and then make it over walls and fences to freedom, then whomever thinks these beings aren't "intelligent" with self-awareness is delusional and ignorant.

Oh, wait...that would include a HUGE portion of the over-inflated human population, now wouldn't it?

I rest my case.

Good job, Molly! May you live in peace and comfort with the good and kind humans who do walk the earth.

People ... read the whole story , sadly Molly hasn't found a home yet . It all depends if her owner claims for her restitution . She could be sent to the slaughter again . A petition must be done to save Molly and to help her to find a loving new home !

Good for her! This cow did all she could to escape...lets give her a pasture and a loving farm to live on. One that will keep her as a milker. Not a cow destined for someones dinner tab le!

Humans NEED to understand that ALL animals have emotions and they feel pain!! They want to live too!!!!! To me, to slaughter an animal is to slaughter ourselves...we are all connected...we are one!!
Thanks Tom!! I am happy to call you my friend!!! :-) xo
And Molly...you don't know this but you are making a lot of humans question their 'food' choices...bless you little baby! Have a GREAT PEACEFUL life!!!
(and may the universe continue to bless Blackie...the sweet one that made me veggie in 1976!!!!!)

There are lots of other Mollys out there who would prefer not to wind up between two slices of bread.

Vegetarian diets are delicious and infinitely more healthy then eating dead cows.

Mollys of the world unite!!!

Lucky Molly. I wish all slaughter houses would be shut down - that would be an almost perfect world.

They named her Molly so why would they send her back to the slaughterhouse... hopefully she will retire on the farm in peace!
Talk about Karma... Molly must have been a saint in her last life!
