Wars are planned, financed and fought by governments, not by groups or ordinary people. Wars are based on political agendas and they long for complete control over resources, people and territory. Most wars have domestic, foreign and global reasons.

General Sanchez is neither against the war nor for withdrawal. He simply doesn’t like losing…. and the United Sates is losing.” The General is reported to have admitted that “ after more than four years of fighting , America continues its desperate struggle in Iraq without any concerted effort to devise a strategy that will achieve victory in that war-torn country or in the greater conflict against extremism.” Under President Barrack Obama, the global community looks anxiously how and when the promised change will come to America’s failed strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan. How soon, the new President will be able to put the body of US politics together again after its moral, political and financial collapse. America and Britain appear lost, not knowing how to come out of the self-engineered defeat in wars against Islam. Masses have sympathies with the true believers and the Islamists appear to have lost nothing. They had no banks to declare bankruptcy and they had no Bush and Cheney to be go down in disgrace. They remain in tact and active all the fronts even buying weapons from the Us and Russia to fight against them. American strategists know well to do business in global arms market. The so called superpowers are extremely nervous not knowing how soon they could be replaced by smaller nations of the developing world. America needs a Navigational Change. President Obama got elected with the motivational promise, Yes We Can! Would President Obama know how to make a navigational change when there is nothing left to navigate for Change?

Mike Whitney attempts to share a new humane perspective of the concerns of the Iraqi civilians who are the real victims of this ferocious war against their country. To reflect on how the adversely affected Iraqi people think on the on-going America-British led war and continuous daily bombing of the civilian population, Layla Anwar, An Arab Women Blues writes in her website blog:

“Everyday, under the pretext of either al-Qaida, insurgents, militants or whatever imaginary name you coined, you have not ceased, not even for one day, slaughtering our innocents……for 4 years, you have not ceased for one single day, Not during holiday periods, not during religious celebrations, not even during the day your so called God was born….if you have a God that is.”
This is a very important understanding of the TRUTH regarding war.We do not fight wars for freedoms but for Money and domination.Thanx very much for this very eye opening article

Radical Islams have one common goal and that is to kill every American. We as Americans must protect ourselves from these extremist, just like we did with Hitler.
While I agree that we must protect ourselves-we must protect ourselves from ALL extremists and that includes the Christian ones right here in America- How ever protecting us does not justify wars done in some hypercritical name of freedom and protecting our national interest translates into protecting our money and trade-that is not a bad thing in itself but the war with Iraq is based on false premise and the fact that Bush was quoted as saying to the French Prez. That the war on Terror was a "moral cause to bring on the apocalypse".
smacks of extremist beliefs to me.
If it is wrong for one it is wrong for all and my God is Better than your God is a lubricious philosophy that will lead us all to extinction

"my God is Better than your God is a lubricious philosophy that will lead us all to extinction"
God promises to protect His people from the total extinction you're talking about. That's one of the beauties of being a Christian.

"we did not start this war against extremists"

Actually Dan, we did.

"we are taking out their number 1 supply of money by hitting the poppy fields and the warlords who run them"

Last year was a record in production

"soon al-queda/taliban will have no money and no place to hide{like S.W pakistan}...with this new stradegy we are sure to win"

Look around Dan, we are the ones with no money and as far as no place to hide, tell me where Bin Ladden is.

Radical Islamists are protecting their survival. They, if they really want to kill Americans, will be those in power. The Elite. Who, are destroying their lives and finances for the sack of greed and control.

Hitler was funded by the Bush family, Rockefellers and the Queen of England. Psychiatry performed experiments on Hitler. The same Psychiatry that they are on the boards of mental health institutions worldwide. Doing only what Hitler failed to do. Genocide of the masses through drugs, Electric Shock Treatment and other torturous barbaric actions.

"Radical islamist have one common goal and that is to kill every american".

Are you being serious Sue or are you just a media swallowing idiot?...

I'm sure that the average radical Islamist is quite happy to live at home and enjoy the short life they have...

They are not attacking you, YOU are attacking them!...Do give it a thought?

WORDS FROM THE WISE, RE: WAR:

Bertrand Russell:
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left.”

Karl Popper:
“We all remember how many religious wars were fought for a religion of love and gentleness; how many bodies were burned alive with the genuinely kind intention of saving souls from the eternal fire of hell.”

Henry Louis Mencken:
“To wage a war for a purely moral reason is as absurd as to ravish a woman for a purely moral reason.”

Howard Zinn:
“There is no flag large enough to cover the shame of killing innocent people.”

“We need to decide that we will not go to war, whatever reason is conjured up by the politicians or the media, because war in our time is always indiscriminate, a war against innocents, a war against children.”

“(Nationalism is) a set of beliefs taught to each generation in which the Motherland or the Fatherland is an object of veneration and becomes a burning cause for which one becomes willing to kill the children of other Motherlands or Fatherlands.”

“Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

David Friedman:
"The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem, it is generally employed only by small children and large nations."

And, lastly:
"Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

~Hermann Goering, Nazi commander of the luftwaffe. Hmmmmm. . . . . . .

Yes by all means, watch Faux News, American Idol and CNN and and stay in today chanting MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
While you are waking up, years ago (when you were apparently asleep) some of us were trying to stop the illegal invasion of Iraq based on false intelligence. You can regurgitate all the Neocon warmongering dogma you like, the fact that we didn't do jack in Afghanistan is obvious. I don't care what your master's are saying they are doing today, What will they be doing ten years from now? Perpetual war needs enemies. Your phantom "al-queda/taliban" will never be defeated until a new target is in sight.

Locan Sleeping Squirrel you are a child prodigy. ( Sorry I just love the photo. It is awesome. )

A Civil War Professor told me that slavery was already ending before the war started.
The war did not stop slavery. The idea that war solved slavery exasperated the hate for centuries to come.

It seems that we are quite well aware of the processes involved in a war of the millenia- this is no longer a "peace" war like back in the day where historical treaties were signed and everyone resumed happily to work together for the next decade. This time that so called war is nothing but a financial turmoil that needs to be straightened out. Right now China is a big obstacle economically to the 'super-money-powers'. Chinese are quite sensible when it comes to alcohol and drugs- think of the Opium Wars and how succesful the opium was in asia...
of course the more 'war' the more morphine is needed- it's a never ending loophole (Catch 22!)(it can even create Cancer!). so what can be done (since many of us are so aware, we are almost immobilized) take as many pictures as possible of those poppy fields, interview as many farmers (!!) that work those lands- who knows maybe we can have FAIR TRADE morphine!!
meanwhile Chavez should go on sending uranium wherever he deems necessary, i'm sure every other country surrounding the benefactor country has some kind of ammo too...
