Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared that his disputed reelection gave him a mandate to continue his domestic and international policies and spoke out defiantly against the West in a televised speech meant to shore up his legitimacy.

A US sniper would do the trick, I have no empathy for this dictator who killed thousands of US soldiers in Iraq, thanks Tom

I believe ageism and 'too long in the tooth' is the problem in Iran, coupled with fear on the part of the older generation - although history tells me that previous U.S. governments cannot be trusted either.

All politicians claim a mandate, except for the ones who actually have a mandate, Some things never change.

He is genuine. And we have become accustomed to listening to only political B.S. that we have lost our moral compass. Sadly.
I'm not saying he won't create a dictatorial system--but heck, you'd think we would have learned something from Fidel Castro's [successful] revolution.
CHANGE is always TOUGH. But perhaps it's 'tough love'--and there's evidence to support THAT method works, if you're careful to keep the LOVE in place.
Namaste!

This how the media works - they give little info, just startling sensationalism that makes us fear. If you look back and see exactly what they did over the wars etc., they gently ease us in. They give hints, we at home say - No Way! But they keep going and we get used to the idea. Then we go into agreement with them as they keep up their act until all of a sudden we are in whatever head on.
They do not tell the whole story. They give little insinuations here and there. They do not give full fact reporting or how the hell they got into a country that does not allow anyone from the outside in there at the moment.
Don't go believing everything you read here there are powers that want to get the resources of these countries and Iran is among them.
