A shotgun-wielding motorized parachutist fired on a pack of wolves earlier this year from the eastern Idaho sky, forbidden even under a state permit that allows aerial gunning of foxes and coyotes. He claims he killed a wolf outfitted with a radio collar.

What did the wolves ever do to him that gives him the obligation and the right to take their lives away. He should have just found something better to do, perhaps something that will not kill life but something that will save and conserve it instead.

Thanks for the news.

Ignorance + a gun is terrible combination. Wolves kill for food only and keep biodiversity flourishing in their ecosystems.

The Martians really are going to have trouble understanding our wierd culture should their sat nav fail and they have the misfortune to land on the Earth! Of cousre depending on where they land they are laible to be shot at or have their genitals twisted! Ban guns and all weapons of destruction. Plant trees, save lives and welcome a Martian into your home!

This is unreal, what’s next? I say if he had the kiwis to go up in the sky in that stupid piece of tin then he should have been able a handle a couple of unarmed wolves on even ground unarmed!
What a jack leg if I might say my self…
This kind of ignorance really bugs me, what gives anyone the right to kill our voiceless.
Thanks T

OMG!!! While reading this article for the the entire story, I read up and down all the time shaking my head in disbelief!!!

What is going on with this World? This Nut Carl Ball, a sheep rancher saw at least 4 wolves, reports that he shot at the wolves after they already left their pen...shot the wolf @ least two times on flyovers and he believed the wolf had crawled under some brush and died.

I am totally ill from reading this type of behavior! He even called to rejoice about it, just shaking my head from what has been done to these wonderful animals. They are gunned down, shot from the air with high power guns - now some idiot is flying around in a little fly plane shooting for fun.

Would hate to have someone from another planet fly over or visit us and see what Man has turned into.

This was downright sick and he brags?

Noted with Tears Tom...

This slaughter of wolves is causing havock in the ecosystem by allowing the coyotes to breed uncontrollably and really cause damage to livestock.

When will people learn that there is NO right to slaughter an animal just because they can! We don't own the land, we just believe that we do. I believe in the Native American proverb, "We do not own the land, we borrow it from our children". Nothing could be better said or clearer.

If there's such a place as Hell this is where this low life should spend Eternity & have these poor defenseless Wolves gnaw & hunt him 4-ever.

You know I am beginning to believe that Idaho is full of idiots. The governor has always acted and talked like a complete imbecile, and now the senator is doing the same thing. He let that man shoot the wolf only because it was on his land and saved him a dollar or 2. Gosh how mean and greedy can you get, and the wolf wasn't even hunting. He said himself nothing was killed that morning...I hope to goodness the wolf got away, but if he didn't we would never know. Then the idoit bragged about it but they let him go, because he couldn't show them a dead wolf. How freaking convent. I think I might live with out potatoes the rest of my life. If the farmers don't like not selling potatoes m;aybe that can do something about it, Who in the world would vote for these stupid people. Wolfs do not hate us why do men fear wolfs? They shared their land with us and now we can't share with them.. Why? Wolfs only eat sick and old animals, ones that probable wouldn't have made it much longer. When are these blocked heads going to realize that extinction is forever. The ones that will pay for it will be our children and grandchildren. As for the hunters they need to come our of the past and realize that times are changing and they have to change or they will be left behind As for the Governor, Senator, and MS Palin, I think they should be tied up and left to rot in their own waste.

This justifies the phrase, THUNDERING MORONS!
From the article:
"He has a hunting license, pilot's license and an aerial gunning permit from the Department of Agriculture."

Four years ago, then-Gov. Dirk Kempthorne, Idaho's congressional delegation and sheep ranchers persuaded Federal Aviation Administration officials to allow licensed pilots to shoot coyotes and other wild predators while flying overhead in ultralight flying machines.

Rifle- and pistol-packing pilots of dirigibles, balloons, gliders, flying trikes, gyroplanes and powered parachutes can take a few hours of instruction and get an Idaho Sheep Commission-issued permit to shoot varmints from the heavens.

You know what really sucks, the fact that this country is not more inter-connected to protect farmers and animals alike. We all need space and it is a tricky/delicate balance that needs to be maintained and or created. I am not sure if we will ever get it together? Is it always us against them or is there a middle ground? Crazy way to handle a farm.

now Gorilly, you said you loved the wolves, you don't want them to feed on a piece of excrement like that!! it would prolly make them so very ill.i'm begining to think all the people in idaho have a kill anything that has teeth and moves lifestyle!!and if i may ask , what the hell is he doing with 18,000 sheep, doesn't he have any idea how quickly they denude the grasslands? awe,yes they prolly graze on public land so he thinks it's ok !!sorry sacks of s--t,both of them.and that's the kind of redneck senator that they elect? figures!!i shall hope that the next time he wants to shoot and he's in the air there be a sudden gust of wind and he blows his tank off instead!! thanks Tom

"forbidden even under a state permit" therefore I strongly suggest the state put him in a straight jacket with or without 'rainbow' colors then lock him up by himself and throw away the key! either that or throw him to a pack of hungry wolves!

I feel about as kindly towards people who hunt for fun as I do towards people who rape and kill for fun. It would make me happy if they were all sent off to forced hard labour on a dessert island, running with scorpions and fire ants and man eating felines. No guns allowed either. Let the earth bite them back - ha,ha,ha,ha. Too kind maybe, but let me dream... it helps me to cope with this kind of rich sicko kid hunting.
