Great News! A Louisiana court granted the ADLF's request for a permanent injunction against the renewal of the annual permit that allows Michael Sandlin, owner of Grosse Tete's Tiger Truck Stop, to display Tony, a ten-year-old Siberian-Bengal tiger.

Tom i was just about to post after seeing this on Change.org but i'm soooooooooooo happy you have done it for me ... i am going crazy here !!!!!!! Just think ... after a DECADE OF BEING HELD IMPRISONED OUR TONY IS FREE AS OF DECEMBER 2011 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHO HOOOOOOO PARTYING IN THE STREETS !!!!!!!!
FINALLY Sandlin and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries got their a_ _ e _ KICKED by a Judge in East Baton Rouge District Court who obviously recognized the animal cruelty, pain and suffering that Tony endured in captivity!
Now this still ever so magnificent Siberian Tiger, our TONY CAN LIVE FREELY FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN A SAFE SANCTUARY WHERE HE WILL BE CARED FOR AND CAN ROAM WHEREVER HE WANTS ANYTIME DAY OR NIGHT !!!!!!!!!
i just can't say enough ... tears of JOY are falling fast here " " " " " " " " "

“Today, the law was upheld in the state of Louisiana, which has explicit regulations designed to protect tigers like Tony,” says ALDF Executive Director Stephen Wells. “It is an incredible victory for ALDF, the tens of thousands around the world who have supported this campaign, and most of all, for Tony. We eagerly look forward to the day that he leaves behind the noise and fumes of the Tiger Truck Stop for a new life of freedom that he has never known.”

This should NEVER have happened to Tony in the first place. My prayers that Tony will find a perfect home where he will be cared for, loved and respected. Let's also hope that he will be able to adjust smoothly to his new freedom. God bless you Tony! I hope the owner of the truck stop will release you a lot sooner. xo xo xo xo

I hope that Tony will be monitored constantly until he is moved to a sanctuary. He has lived a life that no majestic tiger should ever have to endure. I'm so glad that we have won round one but we must move to the next round quickly to get him into a wonderful new place to live out the rest of his life. I hope everyone who signed petitions, called officials, and donated can be really elated in what a difference we have made for this beautiful animal by standing together and not giving up. Thanks to (ALDF, attorneys, and the rest of us) who have worked so hard to get Tony this far but we must not stop fighting until he is in out of the that truck stop.
