Sarah Palin and Hugh Hewitt are both enraged at the decision to list polar bears as an endangered species. I've followed Hewitt's bizarre Colbertian horror at protecting polar bears the way I usually follow him, with morbid amusement and fascination.

I wish she was on the endangered list and then became extinct.

HOW did she ever get into office any way do people in Alaska just not care about our future. To put a monster like her in office is a crime against humanity.

One of the former union presidents in Alaska referred to her as "about a mile long and an inch deep".....I think he was being kind.

Oil Group Joins Alaska in Suing to Overturn Polar Bear Protection The American Petroleum Institute and four other business groups filed suit Thursday against Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director H. Dale Hall, joining Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's administration in trying to reversethe listing of the polar bear as a threatened species. On Aug. 4, the state of Alaska filed a lawsuit opposing the polar bear's listing, arguing that populations as a whole are stable and that melting sea ice does not pose an imminent threat to their survival.

Yes, Blue Bunting: Sarah should remember the Golden Rule. I also believe in Karma. There is good karma and bad karma and what goes around comes around. Polar Bears and their cubs are drowning trying to grasp on to ice that is breaking. These animals are crying out for help and Alaska does not care. This woman is not only a danger to Alaskan wildlife, but to the rest of the United States. She will allow aerial hunting in all states. Past Performance is Predictive of Future Performance.

All created things are alive, conscious, and want to communicate. The Creator has endowed all creatures with wisdom and joy, and they are eager to share with us their ways of being in the world. In time we learn to recognize them as our companions.
