A Lebanese woman working in a restaurant kitchen found 26 pearls in an oyster she was preparing for the table and is to submit the find to the Guinness Book of Records. "I was in the process of opening the shells when I found a number of shining pearls."

that would be starling to find that many in one oyster.

I'm wondering if this is a cover for some sort of theft....

WOW! That is a catch. Who get's to keep the pearls the resturant or the lady that found them? I think that would be something to behold. I bet the lady was in shock. How could so many pearls be in one shell? I am not sure how they are formed so it sounds really amazing to me.

The commercialization of
life from Mother Nature.

Why do we put such man made values
on something so beatiful as pearls for profit????!!!

The pearls are no doubt a wonder to behold but
they should stay where they came from.

What right have we to put dollar signs on
what a small creature made not having any idea
of our selfish overblown greed........

If my comment seems different
than all others so be it!!!!

PLANT TREES FOR LIFE.......

By the way, someone questions who will get to keep them, the story says it's her son's restaurant, so it's in the family . . .

I don't like wearing jewelry. Black pearls are beautiful but I think this seems kind of fishy to me. I agree with Missy. My son works in the shell fish business. He has often brought home pearls that he found in oysters that they shucked and they don't look like thy have been polished and recently came from a gem shop. They are gritty and sandy and not a bit shiny.
