Talk about sex, drugs and rock and roll! These activities and corruption were just way over the top! Most of them have "moved on" since this happened. So, I have to ask: Moved on where? The STD clinic? Probably now lobbyists! Thanks, Tom.

Foxes guarding the henhouse dept...

* Officials charged with ensuring American taxpayers receive oil company royalties from oil and gas companies drilling on federal lands were having sex and using illegal drugs with with oil company employees, who gave them parties, gifts, dinners and travel, according to a series of Interior Department inspector general reports released today.

As many as seven employees implicated in the report still work for the Department of Interior. The Bush Justice Department has declined to prosecute any of the offenders.

* Gregory W. Smith was the head of RIK (Royalty In Kind), the government office that manages the royalties paid by the oil companies to American taxpayers. He "engaged in outside employment that conflicted with his RIK position, accepted gifts from the oil and gas industry and engaged in sex and drug use with subordinates."

The Bush Justice Department has declined to prosecute him.

* The four energy companies that allegedly plied government employees with gifts were Chevron, Shell, Hess Corp. and Gary-Williams Energy Corp.

The Bush Justice Department has declined to prosecute them and they do not face any penalties.

What's wrong with this picture? Hint: The justice department WILL prosecute you if you are using illegal drugs without an oil company employee nearby.

Chevron tried to cover this up. These people will probably get away with it with only a slap on the wrist. Thanks, Tom.

I bet this hasn't been in US media and if it has, it's been buried. No fear tho, I've copy & pasted it to an email and sent it out! :D
I suggest others do this as well to show how corrupt the govt. has become. A fine example, isn't it?
Thanx Tom for this evidence of how deep the corruption is in the govt.
heh, above the law huh? Didn't think the rules applied to THEM.
Where do I sign up for a job like this??

Joyce B stated "Nothing Surprises Her Anymore" In regard to this sex for oil thing.
Heck the DEms. just gave away all that off shore oil and they did not even get a Monica.
When are we who actually care about this Earth going to stop waiting for The Democrats to do something constructive?
Together just sitting on our wallets we have more power that the whole Congress.
Are we just in this battle to save This Earth for future generations (For something To Do)
or do we actually want to do something? Imagine just a few million who could aford it but not buying a vehicle ?
Or any of us really getting into saving electricity?
Why can't people see they want to keep us all devided? That is the only way they can keep us enslaved.
Everytime there is an economiic downturn .The first things the talking heads say. It is cause by the people not buying.
Now when we do buy all we are doing is making the rich richer.
Example My wife needs a simple couple hours outpaitient operatiion to take out some packing the broke loose from her face reconstuction she had after her accident
WE hhave no medical insurance. We had a few thousand dollars we use for her medicalo needs. So we looked into paying for this simple operation.
We called the hospital got the amount the surgeon and anthesialgist would charge for this procedure.oh plus the operating room
We got the quote back last week. All but 10 thousand dollars.
That is we pay the cash the samme day on the spot.
By the way it was the failure of the plastic surgeon who did not anchor the packing properly.
So guess what My wife will live with the packing protruding a bit in her mouth. Is this a boYcott you might ask? More like an earlier death if something happen and she develops an infection.
I know this is not a pefect example what we all need to do to get this country and world on the right roard to save what is left of this Earth.
But why is it the great masses of organizations such as this have not call for boycotts?
The Power has always been with us,but why is it we leave it to corporate lackeys to run our lives?
Hey, by the way in case you did not know it That huge oil cartel who now is pumping less oil out of the ground because the prices have fallen.
Do you really know why the oil prices have fallen?
Because people like you and I use less oil . We are unknowly boycotting the oil companies this very second.
You SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael ~ I am sorry about your wife's situation. Do keep searching for help. There must be a way.

You are right about boycotting. We can boycott companies, products and organizations. Just like we choose our friends. If it's a clothing store, find out who owns it and who they support. Find out where your money ends up. Here in the US, look at all the stores folding or are on edge): businesses related to real estate (Home Depot), furniture, clothing, high end stores. The power is in our wallets and where we choose to buy.
