Good. It is easy enough to put rat poison in their food, for people who despise the homeless.

City Shelters are proved food- dont be mis-leading.

City shelters are provided food-

Joe Blow just cant feed them a handful of rotten poisened meatballs.

I find this very sad, despite what the others above say. We need to be kind and and take care of these people.

Despite what I say then, Debbie- what protection do YOU offer these people that are hated and winding up sick in the hospital from food poisoning- and no one is responsible??

Other than providing food- which they have- there are also registered food banks, soup kitchens and city harvest.

Seriously- what is YOUR solution?

Because- sitting around saying- "What he wants to do is NO good"

is someone useless unless you can provide solutions that ARE good.

Is Somewhat useless...

At least our "police state" cops seem to have cut down on the nuts that were pouring gasoline on the homeless and setting them on fire- so that is a good thing, IMO

Maybe Bloomberg has never been hungry day in and day out and the one good meal you can have by caring people is taken away from you. Shame, Shame Shame on you Bloomberg.

Nyack, you talk about poisonings...Many of these "soup kitchens' have been in operation for years, with the same donaors over the years. The donora that have been giving nothing but good food and you say no. That city doesn't have enough to fill food shelves, let alone to these kitchens that many times serve the homeless their only meal of the day. Bloomberg doesn't care about poisonings, he says that the nutritional values can't be ascertained. Nutritional values be damned - feed the homeless - they can use the calories.
Noted with disgust. Thank you.

Everyone gets food at the shelters, just not random, anonymous food. In fact, if one takes the time to find out what is going on rather than the conservative trick of just reacting to something written in a provocative way, they'd realize the food being given in shelters is far superior to the non-nutritious so-called "food" that people dump on those who are less fortunate who then should just be grateful they are getting anything at all.

And people who want to donate still can, but not directly. This "news" posting here smacks of being planted by a Richard Berman (aka Doctor Evil) mole. He's the guy the beverage companies and other food companies when they feel threatened hire to plant stuff all over the media to sway people's minds about others so as to marginalize what is being done. They even have links planted on Care2 made to look as if they are recommended by the site.

KNOW how you are being manipulated:

Geez, not to mention that even if homeless there are still allergy issues of which to be aware. Or should homeless just suffer with those? Be grateful, even if sick?
