Before you send fallen leaves to the dump and cut down dead stalks in your yard, consider the many benefits for wildlife and the environment of leaving plant debris in place ONCE THE AUTUMN foliage spectacle has ended, most homeowners dutiful

We try far too hart to make the world "neat"

I notice my local council has been weediciding around power poles, park trees, fences etc with "round-up" all so we don't have untidy grass growing up around the base of the poles!!!

The grass does a lot more for the planet than the Round-up

We need to drop some of these silly ideas that plants and suburbia must look perfect.

People are beginning a paradigm shift. We have thought the way to connect to nature is to go to it. Now we are beginning to see nature come to us. In our park residents have begun replacing lawn with native plants.

What is destroying nature? Growth and development. I thank California for passing SB 375 the first legislation address urban sprawl.
