"The tiger is actually a 16-month old Bengal tiger named Sheena that the team got for the day after contacting a private animal reserve in Oregon. The idea was to get the players used to the environment at LSU where the school has a live tiger mascot on t

Why would they do that? Not very cool as far as I'm concerned. Poor baby.

Incredibly stupid. The story makes no sense. They brought in a caged tiger to get the players used to the fact that some other school has the incredibly bad taste and insensitivity to animals, and will have a tiger on the field?

How about you just play your stupid game and leave the endangered species out of it?

I am not a sports fan. It sickens me to see people getting paid astronomical sums to play a game while our military and police are out risking their lives everyday for less money in their careers than these people will make in a year as a pro and some college players are probably doing better in "scholarships" than soldiers and cops do in salary...

As for the tiger, we have a compounded problem. One tiger caged here in too small a cage, and another that is kept at another school. I wonder what conditions LSU's tiger lives in.

"According to those attending Washington’s practice on Tuesday, Steve Sarkisian has brought in a live tiger in preparation to this week’s tussle against LSU. Either that or he’s just bored and picked him up on his way into the office."
